Hello, so I've been playing osu! with a mouse but no mousepad and I was wondering what are the advantage of using a mousepad. I tried to use a mousepad a few time but I feel like I have way less space to move my mouse, it's harder to move the mouse, and sometime my wrist stick to the mousepad and makes it move along my mouse which makes me miss. I am asking since I know that pretty much everyone uses one and I was wondering why.

a mousepad makes your mouse movement more consistent. If the mousepad is too small, you should just get a bigger one. And idk if your wrist sticking to your mousepad is your problem or the mousepad's problem. My skin has never stuck to a mousepad before

Desk-size mousepads exist. They basically cover your entire desk you you don't have to worry about moving your mousepad.

See above, and also a towel to wipe your wrist/arm/tentacle/etc. We humans sweat after all
