Hello there!

I have considered getting back into mapping again, but I cannot find any official downloads for the song. I visited Zytokine's website, but could not successfully find what I was looking for. I didn't want to go on to any sketchy websites or anything to get it either, so I was going to rip the audio off of a YouTube video. I read through the ranking criteria and saw that this isn't exactly a desired method of retrieving audio. I figured I would ask around here in order to figure out if there's anything else I need to do with the file.

The quality seems decent enough to me, I just really wanted to make sure. Thanks for the help!

Mind linking where it says that?
To my knowledge, grabbing music off youtube is perfectly fine.

I suppose it does look more like a suggestion. Within the ranking criteria (https://osu.ppy.sh/help/wiki/Ranking_Criteria) under Audio and Rules, the third point says to "find the highest quality source file available rather than ripping a file from a streaming video website" and that "songs should be normalized to their original release volumes." I wasn't sure how this was being handled, I suppose.

i found it. took me a while xd. i'll post it later, i have to go to school now. is on 258kbps (youtube standart is around 120~180kbps). yours is 320 kbps tough, idk if its 120~ downloaded as 320 or it is actual 320 lol

Thank you so much! I downloaded it using mp3fiber (don't go there without adblock). It gives you the option to download audio at different rates, I just picked the highest number.

It's discouraged as youtube rips are usually low quality and its much better to find some 192 kbps or higher and encode it as 192
