Just buy a year first and see if you still play the game. And "lifetime" isn't really accurate, some people will live 90years and others onbly 5, so it wouldn't be fair and worth it (i think)

If A osu! Player Buys the "Lifetime" Tag and suddenly he stops playing it how?
Well, This is a great idea too though for those who still plays and we don't have to mess around to buy osu! Suptag for months.

Lifetime supporter is reserved for the ones who earn the contributor tag. Those are the people that made a positive, everlasting impact to the game and its community.

Or so I thought. Funny how always seeing the two together made me think that was the truth until I went out of my way to find one without supporter.

Well... Lifetime (approximately 50 years as far as I know systematically) long Suptag..
I personally think a price of 350 to 400 years would grant it. (as it's around 12+ yrs)

I wouldn’t mind a Osu “subscription” service. So I could just be on a 1year plan and automatically renews when it runs out (or until I cancel it)

I don't think this is a good idea, despite I deeply want to have this lifetime tag. Because doing this may cause a decline in supporting the game, which may shorten the life of this game.

The prices you mentioned for "lifetime supporter" equal to a bit over 3 hours of server uptime max (based on the info from emails you receive when donating). If this was a thing it wouldn't be that cheap.

An average devoted osu! user stays with osu for ~7 years I think?

So if it's $80/3 hours then let's see...

7 years = 61320 hours

61320 hours * $80/ 3 hours = $1,635,200

So will that be check or credit?
