[Archived] My osu update client keeps on restarting...

So I am using a laptop that runs windows xp(I know its old...) and when I install osu, after installing the game itself, the update client keeps on saying "installing discord-rpc.dll" and then keeps on restarting... Anyone knows how to fix this? (btw the laptop is an Asus A8L series)

Ok, so I have done everything you said and everything I need is installed. However, when I open the game it says that it cant find a version of the runtime to run the application... What does this mean?

Try installing the latest .NET Framework available for your operating system. If I'm not mistaken that should be .NET Framework 4.
