osu! Rap/Hip-Hop Project




Rap and hip-hop are underrepresented in osu mapping. The maps that do exist are usually old. The goal of this unofficial project is to create fun*, mostly-playable* maps of rap and hip-hop songs. If you'd like to join you're welcome to contact me.

Hi so let me just give a quick disclaimer.

I got banned for a little bit for mapping rap with explicit lyrics. Particularly it was a song with strong sexual themes.

Eventually the decision was reversed as I had recently been unbanned after a 2 year ban, where the rules were a little bit more lax. However, I was told songs with explicit themes and language and such were not allowed.

There's really no guidelines onto how this is enforced, or what is and isn't allowed (and yes: I've tried to get some guidelines out.)

I love mapping rap and I always try to get more but after this sort of mini-ban I'm really discouraged from really trying anything else (Like lmao I have lots of great ideas for Humble but uhhh???

Holy shit I got CDFA to comment on my project

I'll take a look at that guideline link but I think most of the maps aren't too bad lyrically

I made a Jaden Smith map from one of his songs on his Fyre album. Mapped Insane atm, if people like it enough I'll most likely make a spread.

I'd like to see remedy of a broken heart, xxxanax, very rare, hope, numb, $$$, space ghost pussy, sippiteainyohood and other xxxtentacion songs.
Sorry I just love his music.
I know some of these might get taken down...

Not all songs at these genre contain such profanity, Most of them were actually great, a close to wholesome LOLZ. Just always remember to stick and abide to guidelines.

It really sucks that osu! has very little Hip-Hop/Rap map. I'd really love to see some J Cole, Pro Era, Kendrick, 21, etc. but it seems like that might not happen.

explicit lyrics and sexual themes is mostly why we don't see Hip Hop and Rap often.
Its filled with sexual lyrics, every popular rapper will probably get taken down.
Good luck on those maps because if you succeed that would be good for you, but I'm pretty sure that 99z% of your maps with be taken down because of copyright or being explicit.
