I check the compatibility mode option in the settings to see what it would do and my osu closed and I can't launch it anymore?

Go into your osu! folder (The default path is C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\osu!) and run the repair osu file. You should be able to disable compatibility mode from there.

Please navigate to your osu!.pcname.cfg file (Default path is appdata/local/osu!)

Open it with Notepad and change "CompatibilityContext" to 0, save, and then launch osu!

Ignore the suggestion to use the repair function. It's not relevant.
