yeah so i was going clickity clicks in my options tab and just so happened to click on compatability mode
and then my osu stopped working
and then i messed everything else up by deleting osu and then im probably stupid
can someone help me
edit: also it's telling me to close osu when i don't even have it up

Try going to osu properties window and disable Compatibility Mode

Check your task manager to make sure to make sure you do not have osu! running, or just restart your computer.

Hold shift before starting osu! until a configuration window pops up and from there you can disable Compatibility mode.

Alternatively, navigate to your installation folder (default path is C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\osu!) and open "osu!.pcname.cfg" in notepad. Set the line "CompatibilityContext" to 0.
