[Archived] Osu! micro freezing

Problem Details: Whenever I play a song it randomly freezes for less than .5 seconds, but it is enough to make me fail a note. I tried running the game in compatibility mode as well as changing the fps limit. I also disabled Avast but it still freezes. Help, please.

Processor
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz

Video Card #2
NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M

RAM
8.0 GB

Operating System
Microsoft Windows 10 (build 14393), 64-bit

Been experiencing this as well. What I do is turn off all other programs when I play osu!, that seems to control the sudden frame drops.

will try doing so, but I don't think it'll work as all programs I run are not very resource demanding
