[Archived] System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file

i opened osu! and the updater said it has crashed, then i tried to restart and this pop up
It said that osu! is being used by another process, tried to check with task manager but i found nothing
the game opened normally the day before

No, do not. Feel free to help when you know how to, re-installing is the only very last resort.

i have tried uninstall and reinstall before this post but looks like it still there

Try running osu! as an administrator.

It's also possible your antivirus is causing this error to occur. You can exclude osu! from being checked or temporarily disable your antivirus at your own risk.

instead of saying "System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file"

Are you running osu! directly from the exe in the installation folder, or are you using a shortcut?

im running both osu!.exe in my folder and the osu!install.exe and neither of them work
and no im not using shortcut D:
