I'm doing a project in university, where i want to analyse osu! replays, so i need the actual timing of one's tap. Is there a way to do this? Simple opening the replay file in notepad does nothing, there are some unreadeble symbols.

osu! version: 20171106.5 (latest)

Replays are not actual perfect copies of the original play. If that matters to you, probably want to find another way to get samples

If you want it through replay it will be impossible but through the editor you can see the perfect beats in the song itself with time stamps on them when hovering over, hope this helps your project.

You may want to read up about .osr in the wiki. They have quite useful information that can help you. Yet again, replays are not perfect replicas of that attempt.
