so i'm starting to map for the first time

(technically it's not my first time, but i do want to finish and upload at least one song)

im having a bit of trouble finding a correct timing for the songs i map.

currently, i have the mentality where i want to find the one perfect timing (and offset) which will be correct for the beginning of the song all the way to the end, but im finding that the farther i map into the song, the more the beat gets off so i have to make multiple time points to correct the beat back to where its suppose to be.

but tbh, i find that im doing this more often then i would like.

what am i doing wrong?

any guides or tips i should be reading into? (especially for newbie like me?)

god, mapping is a lot more difficult than i thought

Sorry to give such a standard question but have you tried googling the video of the song? Just type “(name of song) bpm”. There’s this one handy website that comes up a lot for me that gets the bpm of off the official upload of the song on Spotify so you know it’s correct. Try using the built in tap timing or www.all8.com
