[Archived] My osu!installer isn't starting!!

Problem Details: So I just resetted my Computer a few hours ago and since i can't download osu! anymore...
Everytime i try to start the installer that I downloaded from the website it just doesn't open and than I get a window that says that
osu ist not working anymore..



Video or screenshot showing the problem: So I'd really like to show you but the Window disappears immediately.



osu! version: 20170731.2 (latest) Yeah I had the latest version before i resetted my PC

Try these three things:
  1. Updating/ Reinstalling your graphics drivers
    1. NVIDIA
    2. AMD
    3. Intel
  2. Updating .NET Framework from this link
  3. Running osu! as an administrator

Please give it a try with the old installer instead.

Is there an error log in the Event Viewer, under Windows Logs > Application, after the window that says osu! has stopped working pops up? If so, copy and paste its contents here.

Also make sure your firewall isn't preventing osu! from installing.

So there's just nothing. I'm so frustrated right now that i can't even play my favorite game anymore. Applications like Discord or TeamSpeak aren't installing either
Some are installing some not. Like Blizzard (Overwatch) and Steam is installed. I don't know what I have done to my PC...

Try running this tool and see if it resolves the issue. It basically repairs program installation issues caused by corrupted registry keys.

If that doesn't work, try the following.

Press the Windows key +R.
Type Services.msc, and press Enter.
Double-click Windows Installer.
Set the Startup type of Windows Installer to Manual.
Click Start to start the service.
Click OK.

Also try unregistering and reregistering the Windows Installer. To do so,

Press Windows key +R.
To unregister the Windows Installer, type msiexec /unreg and press Enter.
Press Windows key +R.
To reregister the Windows Installer, type msiexec /regserver and press Enter.


If any error pops up while executing these steps, let us know.
