Problem Details:
I too, almost broke everything in my vicinity when I missed a particularly nice combo because of a stutter/freeze/lag spike.
I knew it was at a set interval and Task Manager didn't report anything, untill I noticed my lag spike happened every time my background changed and a new color got picked for the explorer based on the background, mind you that is once every minute. I feel like I lost my handcuffs after disabling those features.
The biggest impact seemed to be the change of the colors, not the backgrounds.
I am unsure if this is useless info:
OSU was running on a WD Black 7200rpm
16GB Ram 1666mhz
i5 3570k 3,4ghz
GTX 660 2GB
