I'm making a beatmap and I'm very happy with it overall.

However, I want to change the Approach Rate but I am unable to do so.
When I go to Song Setup > Difficulty > Approach Rate, it is greyed out, how do I change this?
I want my map to be faster without having to use f3 and f4.

Here's an image:

Thanks in advance ^^!

You're mapping a mania map.
Approach rate does not exist in mania.

Okay, so there's nothing I can do about it?

Increasing Slider Velocity will change the speed of the notes, test it in game-play and see what works best.

are you using green lines to change SV or are you changing the base SV in the timing tab? I dont think the base SV affect mania, so make sure you are using green lines instead. press f6 and add a new inherited timing point.
just remember that it is a multiplier, small changes go a long way.

best to just keep SV on mania maps at 1x until you are a bit more experienced though.
people seem to not like SV even when done correctly, so probably just focus on improving your mapping first.
