Due to a lot of confussion we have dropped the "Medieval" part of the theme and just made it strictly Fantasy. We do not mean scientific/futuristic fantasy. I encourage you to join our Discord for more clarification if needed (linked below)

This competition is not gameplay orientated, but rather is focused on how well your skin represents the visual theme that has been provided. However, the skin must still be reasonably playable.
There is no entrance fee, and everyone is welcome to join.

 1. You must save at least 5 elements from your skin in their original format (.psd / .ai / etc) with the layers still intact.
 2. Skins must be fully original!
 3. You must make every element of your skin for this competition, you may not use anything you've made before for anything other than a reference. (Hit sounds are an exception)
 4. You must stick to the theme (Fantasy)
 5. You must skin at least all menu elements + all standard gameplay elements. You are not required to skin other gamemodes, but it may help you win the competition if you do.

Judging will take place the day after the entries have been closed. The winners will be announced after user voting is closed.
The winners will be picked via these means:

 1. The skins! staff team will look through all of the skins and pick their top 5 based primarily on looks, and secondarily on play-ability.
 2. Those 5 skins will be listed in a poll, everyone can vote once.
 3. The most voted for skin at the end of the poll will be the 1st placed winner, 2nd and 3rd place will be picked by the skins! staff team.
 4. Winners will be contacted via discord/osu! PM's/whichever form of contact they list on their submission.

So, why should you join our competition? Well...

As with most competitions, there is a theme to be followed (the theme above). Skinners will have 1 month and 2 weeks to get the skin finished and submitted to the link provided in the announcement video (or below).
Good luck to all those who choose to compete!
We hope to see some amazing work out of all of you!

F.A.Q
Q: How far do I have to go in manipulating an image to make it alright to be used in the competition?
 1. Adding textures to an image, would make the image be more of your work.
 2. Original Background is gone
 3. Colors and shading are different
 4. Lighting changes

Do NOT just drag and drop the image, crop it and say "Here’s my back button”

We also have a discord server where you can talk to other skinners and the competition organizers if you need help with anything!

What's the point of this? E.g. I'm using scripts to generate the pictures using a selfmade renderer.
Also, these formats may require licensed resources, like fonts etc...

Just as a way for us to know you've actually made resources, so on.

Fixed! Thanks for pointing it out.

And, yeah sure thing. We'll likely do something like last time.
