idk if this is a dup (but hopefully this will be added to osu! on the future)
WIP maps actually changes from time to time and it is not just the '.osu' file updates but sometimes some additional elements like added images for BG and SB, videos, sound files (like .wav files) for hitsounds, sub folders, storyboard file (.osb), etc. are not updated at the same time....
It will actually be a waste of time for a person to re-download the whole '.osz' file just to get the full update...
best example i think i can give is re-downloading a map because this time you wanna have the video on the map.
I think adding a advanced update feature will be a good thing where osu! can inform a player that it will update (not re-download) the whole map due to massive beatmap updates from the creator... and players with osu!direct access (of course) can have this feature. :3
