[Archived] random ms spikes

So I opened up osu! today and when I jumped into game I noticed some MS spikes.
looking into it further it didn't seem like it was my PC. everything was at 30% usage.

I upgraded to a 144HZ monitor today so I thought that might have been the problem. but even when I changed it from 144HZ to 60HZ, I still have the issue.

the weird thing is that it's not a continuously giving me MS spikes. it's more of like a heartbeat. only sometimes it stops for 3 seconds and then continues.

Make sure you don't have ANY background programs or processes running that could effect performance, even if very briefly. Things like Anti-virus is a common culprit for random brief spikes, so be sure to disable and test.

it seems that the twitch player has something to do with it
after restarting and doing some extra testing with different applications open. It only seemed to have lagspikes when twitch is open.

since I often stream I tried to only open the twitchchat and that didn't seem to affect it any. same with OBS.

even when I have allot of other applications open but not twitch. it still seems to not affect it.
