Problem Details:
I'm playing osu on mac, and whenever I update the game, I am no longer able to start up osu.

I get the following message:
osu!.exe - .NET Framework Initialization Error
Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application.

I experienced the exact same problem earlier, the first time I updated osu. I was unable to find a solution, so I reinstalled it, and thereby lost all of my beatmaps, which I was unable to transfer from the old game file.

I tried updating the game again a few days ago, because I could no longer connect to Bancho with my outdated version of the game. Same problem occured. I'd like to keep my beatmaps this time, so if there's a solution that doesn't involve reionstalling the game, that would be great.

This is my version of XQuartz:

osu! version: 20160821.1

apparently you need to uninstall osu and xquartz but ive tried that and nothing happened
Maybe trying Windows boot camp?
