[Archived] Osu takes while to open and then lags a lot

Problem Details:

So I have been playing Osu! for a while but I just opened it and it didnt open foor a while until suddenly a faded out window appeared with Osu! the start screen is black as everything else only some text that was suppost to be there appeared as white boxes, I tried to screenshot but it didnt work for some reason, everything else works perfectly and smoothly (I'm running it on Windows XP if it changes anything)

Make sure to restart your computer and see if that helps, if that doesn't help close osu! completely and then reopen it while holding shift. Click the "Repair osu!" Button near the bottom of the window and see if that fixes anything.
