now with hitsounds

[Oni]
  1. Discussed! There's a lot of spots where Inner Oni isn't exact a big step up from Oni (i.e. making a 1/6 quad into a 1/4 triplet doesn't suddenly make it Oni), especially kiai, and the diff should definitely be toned down.
  2. 01:03:580 -
[Muzukashii]
  1. This'll be modded as if Oni's already been fixed up. As long as it's nerfed, spread should be fine.
  2. 00:15:730 - This is the only break in this kiai, which kinda sucks. Either make the break in the middle so it's in two sections, or split it into 4 sections instead.
  3. 00:29:980 - This part is fine across all diffs, but if you choose to
  4. 01:02:980 (235) - Maybe k, just to map to the high pitched stuff like other diffs.
Last kiai might even need some nerfing after Oni's nerfed. Make sure to switch between Futsuu and Oni frequently to notice problem areas.

[Futsuu]
  1. Kinda wondering if there should be a break at every bookmark of the second kiai, but it depends on how Muzukashii gets. I'll find out on recheck :B
[Kantan]
  1. 00:44:980 (75,76) - Should probably die, lot of 1/1
  2. 00:53:080 - d? Or some kind of variance in this kdk kdk kdk bit.
  3. 01:05:680 (107) - Similarly, removing this would be good to relieve 1/1 but not ruin the build-up.
  4. 01:24:880 (133) - ^
  5. 01:44:080 (167) - ^ etc etc etc 02:03:280 (201) - like Futsuu isn't that crazy :p

[Inner Oni]
00:19:780 - I think this SV change should be toned down justa tad. I think it's fine how it is, but I don't think it would hurt to lower it a little.
00:31:330 - I think adding a note here would be okay. Maybe a d. I notice you consistently skip it, but adding a note would connect the phrases (if you want).
01:01:180 - From here, start mapping out the doubles until the build-up. Going from these 1/1's to 1/4 is very sudden and uncomfortable.
01:17:680 - Same concept here. Going from the simpler rhythms to doubles and quadruplets so suddenly can be hard.
01:28:405 (512) - Making this a k would fit because that's where the pitch rises.
01:36:580 (587) - It would make sense to change this to d because the next two k's follow a completely different sound and are even accented with fast SV.
[]
[Oni]
00:16:030 (59,60) - I think you should change (59) to a d because the pitch lowers here and not on (60).
[]
If you change something in one diff, remember to keep consistency with the other. I'm sorry for the newb mod, I'm new to taiko modding.

~Thank you.

placeholder for now, more to come finished the mod~~ gl with the set uwu
[Kantan]
  1. 00:07:180 (7,9) - Switch these to k because of the change on the song there
  2. 00:18:580 (28,29,30) - I'd do this the same as 00:16:180 (23,24,25) -
  3. 00:57:830 - note on here would fit quite well, the sound is important
  4. 01:02:380 (100,101) - I wouldn't have the notes here
[Futsuu]
  1. 00:07:180 (8,11) - Turn to k
  2. 00:33:430 - maybe add a d here?
  3. 00:57:880 - a note here would fit well, k or d is your choice ; )
  4. 01:35:530 (215) - switch to k
  5. 01:36:580 (218,219,220,221,222,223,224,225) - This part confuze meh wen playin haha xdd but stil gud map lol gl hihi

00:19:780 - I think this SV change should be toned down justa tad. I think it's fine how it is, but I don't think it would hurt to lower it a little. the sv is consistent with the rest of the notes in the map that have the same hitsounding so it's ok
00:31:330 - I think adding a note here would be okay. Maybe a d. I notice you consistently skip it, but adding a note would connect the phrases (if you want). breaks are added deliberately in order to not have the section just be a monotonous section of 1/2 singlets and develop structure overall
01:01:180 - From here, start mapping out the doubles until the build-up. Going from these 1/1's to 1/4 is very sudden and uncomfortable. intensity change is done to match the music (note background kick drums)
01:17:680 - Same concept here. Going from the simpler rhythms to doubles and quadruplets so suddenly can be hard. the whole point of the simpler rhythms is to provide a respite before the more involved rhythms
01:28:405 (512) - Making this a k would fit because that's where the pitch rises. this section is mapped more to feel and small differences in patterns generating structure than to small pitch differences
01:36:580 (587) - It would make sense to change this to d because the next two k's follow a completely different sound and are even accented with fast SV. the fast sv (and sampleset change while we're at it) is exactly why this doesn't need to be changed - the contrast is already there

[Oni]
00:16:030 (59,60) - I think you should change (59) to a d because the pitch lowers here and not on (60). the pitch of the synth melody stays the same???

  1. 00:07:180 (7,9) - Switch these to k because of the change on the song there changed 7 to K and 8 to k instead of 9
  2. 00:18:580 (28,29,30) - I'd do this the same as 00:16:180 (23,24,25) - you pointing this out led to me changing some other stuff lol
  3. 00:57:830 - note on here would fit quite well, the sound is important im trying to make the rhythm as simple as possible, this song doesn't lend itself well to following the music and staying straightforward at the same time haha
  4. 01:02:380 (100,101) - I wouldn't have the notes here ???
[Futsuu]
  1. 00:07:180 (8,11) - Turn to k changed 8 9 and 10 to k
  2. 00:33:430 - maybe add a d here? nice
  3. 00:57:880 - a note here would fit well, k or d is your choice ; ) putting a note yet not adhering to the 3/4 rhythm is a little suboptimal
  4. 01:35:530 (215) - switch to k color change 1/2 triplets are a bad idea in futsuus
  5. 01:36:580 (218,219,220,221,222,223,224,225) - This part confuze meh wen playin haha xdd but stil gud map lol gl hihi tbh same

Mapset contains good varying pattern usage across difficulties allowing for a very nice wide spread. Patterns are overall excellent and worthy of first fucking place.

Kantan

00:14:980 - there i feel like adding a k and removing 00:16:180 (24,25) - would be a better way to insert a 4/1 break
-> if you do that then make it consistent throughout the rest of the kiai like add something 00:19:780 - and remove 00:20:980 (31,32) -

thats all tbh

Muzu

finisher thing

00:08:380 (13) - Considering youre not using finishers at places like 00:27:580 (107) - or 01:25:180 (287) - you need to remove this one
00:53:680 - I think adding a note here is kinda necessary seeing what sounds you mapped just before

Oni

same finisher thing

Inner Oni

01:31:780 (543,544,545,546,547) - Id swap this one to kdkkd 01:50:980 (723,724,725,726,727) - and this one to kddkd so you avoir the repetition of three dk in a row that feel a bit redundant, plus 01:32:080 (547,548) - these sounds are actually quite distincts from one another

00:53:680 - I think adding a note here is kinda necessary seeing what sounds you mapped just before okay

Oni

same finisher thing same fix, the reason the finishers were absent in the first place is bc i made all the diffs down from the inner where the highlighted note is the start of a stream

Inner Oni

01:31:780 (543,544,545,546,547) - Id swap this one to kdkkd 01:50:980 (723,724,725,726,727) - and this one to kddkd so you avoir the repetition of three dk in a row that feel a bit redundant, plus 01:32:080 (547,548) - these sounds are actually quite distincts from one another the patterns are currently done so that the ks land on the syncopated synth rhythms and emphasize them, so your suggestion would do the complete opposite in a way. what i did instead was make the latter dkddk into a dkdkk to distinguish the latter half (being in the pitched up final section of the song), and i did a similar fix with 02:00:580 (813,814,815,816,817,818,819) - , making dkddkdk into dkkdkdk

woohoo
Arrival
Ice Beam (Japanese: れいとうビーム Freezing Beam) is a damage-dealing Ice-type move introduced in Generation I. It was TM13 in Generation I before losing its status in Generation II. It returned to being TM13 from Generation III onwards.

00:20:230 (107) - seems wrong? No ninja sound on this note. (also some in the other kiai)
