[Archived] "This application cannot run on your PC" error

Problem Details:
Whenever I try to open osu!, it pops up with a message saying, "This application cannot run on your PC." I have tried to uninstall it, but Windows 10 shows the same message and does not allow me to uninstall osu! I have had this game for a couple of months on this computer, and it worked perfectly until now. Please help!

I'm not too sure, but it might be that something is blocking it from being launched, like an antivirus or other type of software.

try to use compatibility mode by:

Right clicking on osu application

and select the compatibility tab

and enable Compatibility mode as well as picking either windows 8 or 7

This might help, cause this helped me. somehow...

he cant update his osu! if he cant open it. Also, can you still open your osu!repair.exe file?

As said above, try compatibility mode.
  1. Run the client while holding shift and keep holding it until a configuration pops up, then click Repair osu!.
And don't forget to check the "Compatibility mode" option in configuration window.
