[resolved] Illuminati triangle on The Big Black

Problem Details:
A bug that causes an illuminati triangle to appear when selecting "The Big Black" song.
It seems to be random, but I managed to encounter this bug once again today.

While it's probably not that serious it could be something to look into. saw this stuff posted on r/osugame a few days ago. here and here. people are pointing to this map b/1042330 as the cause. I was able to replicate it by downloading that map and redownloading big black since it overwrote my big black's music. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5745249

some people in those threads are also reporting that the thumbnail is changing without even having that map so it seems some strange bug is going on with beatmap submissions and metadata or something like that

I had the same "problem" earlier today, and looking in my thumbnail folder I found a file called 488982l.jpg, which is the thumbnail for this map: https://osu.ppy.sh/s/488982 even though I'd never downloaded it. It hadn't replaced the file that osu used for the thumbnail of The Big Black, but osu! used the wrong file in this instance. When I minimized osu and opened it again, the thumbnail was normal. Check to see if you have a file of the same name, the thumbnail folder should be at ( C:\Users\[name]\AppData\Local\osu!\Data\bt ). Deleting it would probably fix the issue but maybe wait for someone who knows what they're talking about first. :oops:

I didn't modify it myself. This illuminati triangle appeared two times so far. And I never had downloaded the map mentioned in above posts.

Have you tried moving the osu!.db file out of the mainfolder?
It seems as if the map uses a thumbnail from a different map due to an error in the db file (I assume)

Nope, isn't the .db because it doesn't work
The only solution for this problem is making that the creator of the What is Love? map change the difficulty name on his map

If you look at the contents of the map which causes this

He just put a difficulty, with the exact same metadata as Blue Dragon's map. The only thing which is different is the Beatmap ID/setID, which is what causes the change in thumbnail. The map gets overwritten, since it has the exact same meta-data. For that reason, the mp3 file also won't play, since the .osu file of the illuminati map lists a different mp3 as Big Black's
The only solution is to force-delete this map from the osu servers (since he uploaded someone else's difficulty without permission, this has to happen anyway)

Intentional double post

I decided to report myself this problem to Okorin (a QAT). The stolen map will get deleted in a few hours (with a silence for the user) and the thumbnail will get resolved itself.

Well this appears like 4-5 times so far and when I open a map or go to the main menu it fixes itself http://imgur.com/a/CdXTd and I dont have any other map with that thumbnail

So, I talked personally with the mapper. The mapper deleted the sloted map and it nows only haves the own diff.
