I spent hundreds of hours here learning how to mod and map. This set taught me more than anything the fundamentals, and the necessary patience to get something ranked. This had almost 200 kudosu in MV1, and was remapped 5 times - but then, I finally ranked On My Own after this set, and despite swearing to rank this someday, I think leaving it here is better - as a testament to growth :) (or lack thereof?)

  3. 00:23:508 (3,4) - blanket can be imrpoved
  4. 00:28:335 (1,2) - Should blanket
  5. 00:41:094 (5,6,8) - blanket 5 and 6 then try to curve 6 around the shape of 8
  6. 00:45:577 (1,1) - listen carefully there are beat between these. The guitar should consider map those
  7. 01:06:266 (1,2) - the beat here is kinda strong should space it further out
  8. 01:22:818 (8) - ^
  9. 02:11:439 (3,4,5,6) - should be spaced further compared to 02:11:266 (2,3) becuz beats at 3 to 6 is stronger
  10. 02:17:646 (1,2,3) - As said before sv should be faster, these don't fit in comparision to the other parts

The guitar should consider map those In this section, I go from mapping beat > guitar > vocals to highlight different parts of the song that are important here. I agree though, the order may need change, however I will leave it as it is for now for sake of increasing difficulty through it. Will consider for future change!

00:43:163 (8) - a repeat slider is recommended to catch the "nite" from "Ignite

00:54:197 (3) - This hitsound o.o this goes for similar sliders like at 01:00:404 (9) -

Very well placed jumps and streams and has a good flow to it. Some odd things here and there but I honestly really like it! Keep it up!

I would, but the spinner would be too short and there's not too much to map there. The end of the slider catches the "light", so I'll leave it I think :)

00:43:163 (8) - a repeat slider is recommended to catch the "nite" from "Ignite It cuts off since I start mapping to the bass instead, and there's a noise from the bass there, hence why I cut it off. You'll notice the next section is mapped more towards the rhythm and beat. ^_^

00:54:197 (3) - This hitsound o.o this goes for similar sliders like at 01:00:404 (9) - Agreed, feels weird. Removed since they hold out the note in the vocals, for both.

02:17:646 (1,2,3) - These sliders feel kind of awkward 02:19:025 (3) - is particularilly long and instead you could follow the instruments than the vocals here I was fairly unsure about them, wanted to try something xd changed to something else, lot better imo, thanks!

02:54:111 (1) - the spinner starts too early 02:55:232 - this is a more appropriate time to start it Fixed!

00:00:000 - 00:21:784 - I feel like this intro isn't really needed, it's pretty difficult to hear the background and as a player I would prefer it start at 0:22:560
01:29:554 (6, 7, 8) - The difference in the distances are confusing, 6 and 7 are super close with a greater gap between the beat than 8, and 8 is much further out. Caught me by surprise when playing
02:23:853 (2) - Kind of an awkwardly shaped slider, but no real issue
02:56:956 (1) - The whistle sounds a bit awkward to me, maybe a softer version of it would fit better
03:00:577 (5, 6, 7) - Same as 01:29:554, but isn't as confusing as the one at 01:29:554
03:10:749 (5) - The whistle feels a bit loud here
03:12:128 (2) - Same as above
03:21:611 (2, 3) - 3 starts before 2 ends
03:23:853 (1, 2, 3) - The ending of the sliders aren't in tune with the song.

During all of the kiai times, I think the hitsounds should be slightly more loud than they are.

- 01:06:266 (1,2) - vs 01:17:301 (1,2) - in spacing.. Consider it.

If I hitsound the bass it makes it pop out and not focus on that instead. Plus, with the melody, many of the bass noises fall between sliders. I've tried adding them and wasn't happy with it, so removed them. If I feel creative maybe I'll hitsound this section some unique way, but we'll see.However, I will put whistle hitsounds on the starts of the sliders, if you'd like feel free to replay + see if it fits better!

  1. 00:49:715 (6,7) - At the start of the combo, you were defaulting 2.0x spacing on this part. But here, it creates a bit of confusion in gameplay even though it's 1.0x spaced on 1/2. I suggest increasing the distance spacing to avoid that.
  2. 00:57:646 (4,5) - Well, it's probably similar to above. So yeah.
  3. 01:16:266 (5) - Is this slider's tail manual stacking on purpose? Because it's the only one among the rest of the sliders' tails being stacked for a pattern but this...
  4. 01:24:887 (7,1,2) - This is quite some imbalanced spacing and flow. If you could at least default it into 1.5x or 1.8x spacing, it'd comfort the structure ofc.
  5. 01:39:025 (4) - Add a whistle, sounds very suitable on this circle for following some strings on the song.
  6. 01:44:715 (7,1) - I really expected this to be a jump, turns out not. But it'd be really cool if there's a small jump to notice an incoming stream later on.
  7. 02:02:301 (6,7,1) - I might think this is quite gimmick, at least to me. It's a good pattern though, but maybe smoothen a few flaws here would be much comfortable on cursor guiding. Maybe just curve the sharp slider, or symmetry both of the sliders, move down the circle... etc.
  8. 02:10:404 (9,1) - Uhmm.. Swap the NC here? Obviously (1) is on the blue tick, but you're adding NCs during streams are mostly on the while ticks. If it's intentional, don't mind it ;p
  9. 02:19:370 (1,2,3) - Optional objective: Rather than a low-spaced straight down circles on a motivating track of the song, how about a triangle here? or a polygon with the five-notes streams? Well, there are many ways to improve this for aesthetics and structure.
  10. 02:51:439 - Since the HP drain rate is 7, which is a bit high. Maybe you should add some notes here like a long slider e.g., or at least a break in order to prevent a diversion during emptiness.
  11. 03:15:577 (5,6,7) - Probably curving the slider here would do best, and Ctrl+J the 1/4 slider. This is for aesthetics, and this is for cursor guidance. Both are good and equal (with 2.0x DS). Your pick.
  12. 03:32:128 (5) - Try to move this slider a bit down right, around x:372|y:205 idk. It's just to keep the hexagon formation a bit cleaner on this part ;3
  13. 03:58:853 (3,4) - NEARLY the same thing before at the first mod.
  14. 04:02:991 (2,3) - I thought this kind of jump is supposed to be on 04:02:646 (4,1) - for the kiai/chorus. So I guess this looks really necessary.
  15. 04:22:818 (3,4,5,6,7) - Try polishing the placements of these sliders, for some polygon pattern on this one. There are many ways for this so idk your way.

I like the song btw~ IMMO, This is a really good map having potential for ranking! :3/ Have a star!

I suggest increasing the distance spacing to avoid that. Agreed, fixed! I also adjusted the pattern ahead, the sudden stacked 1/2 to spaced 1/2 hexagon is odd, so I adjusted it accordingly. I adjusted a lot of the following section until the melody picks up and gets stronger, around 1:01:439. This helped a lot, thanks!

  7. 02:02:301 (6,7,1) - I might think this is quite gimmick, at least to me. It's a good pattern though, but maybe smoothen a few flaws here would be much comfortable on cursor guiding. Maybe just curve the sharp slider, or symmetry both of the sliders, move down the circle... etc. Tried to make slider ends parallel, made it a curve instead (originally had as one, wanted to experiment) :)

Though I feel I have a lot of triangles in the map, I'll try to fit an isosceles in there and see how it works. I need 3 to flow with the next stream burst though, which is why I needed it positioned there, I think I got a decent fix.
  10. 02:51:439 - Since the HP drain rate is 7, which is a bit high. Maybe you should add some notes here like a long slider e.g., or at least a break in order to prevent a diversion during emptiness. I like this idea, I made a slider that sharply curves where the melody changes notes.
  11. 03:15:577 (5,6,7) - Probably curving the slider here would do best, and Ctrl+J the 1/4 slider. This is for aesthetics, and this is for cursor guidance. Both are good and equal (with 2.0x DS). Your pick.I really like the 2nd one, changed!
