Maps do not have to be sightreadable to be rankable, this is a really narrow minded and stupid stigma that's been going around the community for far too long.
Granted, if you have a standard JS map or something along those lines, you do not want to have crazy teleports inbetween, but that also falls into not "competently done", because of the structural inconsistency (talking about standard/generic charts having extraordinary gimmicks out of nowhere).
PS. If someone brings up maps like smooooch, brynhildr, monster or whatever else as an example that SVs are bad - those maps are pretty much ruined by patterns, not SVs.

again, establishing that there's a quad at every end of phrase is super important for this diff, because it makes it much more fair, as the player knows 100% what's coming up. in the normal diff, there's always an implied quad (release+filled columns). batter up has the bonafide quad

00:02:360 - Personally like it when these were rice, but meh.

01:40:860 - This note is dumb, especially when combined with the SV. You don't every layer the batter before this, and now you are for this one note, which is :/. I only hit this note because of playing this song a bajillion times and searching up the timing.

00:32:860 - You might consider making the spacing between notes here follow the actual spacing between beats normally as well? Right now, there's no plausible way to actually play this part without just flat out memorizing it and its not constant rhythm. During SOFT I just closed my eyes during this part because the note placement was impossible to read.
00:40:860 - Maybe do something in this set where you slow down every time you hit a note. For example, I really don't know why you have both the SV at 00:41:360 - and 00:41:453 - as well.
01:30:516 - Peronally I would add the stop SV on either the 1/1 or the 1/2 beat. Right now its kinda stranded in the center of... something, which doesn't make it look nice. Of course, this might be intentional to make this SV difficult.

SVs in this difficulty are tamer for sure, but they really do lack variety :/. Considering this difficulty does not have all the shit in between the baseball hits, you could consider really fucking with people SV wise during the breaks, like the random beats fuck people who play Rhythm Heaven.
00:32:860 - This one doesn't really work well, since you barely notice the points where the scrolling "freezes". Maybe consider doing a speedup from 0.10x to some higher value, before resetting on 0.10x every beat. This way, the stopping effect is emphasized more.
00:56:860 - This SV is very similar to the one before this, especially on higher scroll speeds. Not sure how you would make this particular one more unique.
01:14:766 - Why this random stop here? If you want the stop to be here, maybe you should make it slightly longer so it can be more emphasized.
01:38:860 - Dumb note ahead woop :<

I just reworked the part, and it feels nicer, albeit easier (oh well)

this is 100% intentional to make the player fuck up if they're playing it by eye and not ear. The whole song has been "4 beats and a quad at the end" and if they haven't figured this out by now then oops on them, not on me

I guess, the normal was meant to be much easier, but yeah i can probably ramp up the SVs. Here i just reversed it so it looks like 4 jumps instead of 4 pauses

This map is a statement. This is a statement that hardcore SV maps CAN and SHOULD get ranked. If a map is competently made and within the boundaries of rhythmical reason (pretty much pls no dumperino), while also abiding ranking criteria (as in no unrankable gimmicks and hitsounds present) there is absolutely nothing stopping it from getting ranked.
Maps do not have to be sightreadable to be rankable, this is a really narrow minded and stupid stigma that's been going around the community for far too long.
Granted, if you have a standard JS map or something along those lines, you do not want to have crazy teleports inbetween, but that also falls into not "competently done", because of the structural inconsistency (talking about standard/generic charts having extraordinary gimmicks out of nowhere).
PS. If someone brings up maps like smooooch, brynhildr, monster or whatever else as an example that SVs are bad - those maps are pretty much ruined by patterns, not SVs.
