Hi! From your forum M4M taiko queue.
I am pretty thorough, so don't feel bad if I point out a lot of issues. A lot of times they are just my opinions, so feel free to object to them. :3
After looking through my mod, would you mind taking the time to check out
my taiko set? <3
Btw, I don't know how to make bpm/offset/scroll speed changes, so don't ask me those pls. XD
d = don
k = katsu
D = big don
K = big katsu
[General]
This mapset needs at least 2 taiko difficulties.
This mapset needs at least 1 kantan/futsuu difficulty.
app map 1 diff is enough.Left Ring was very satisfying to
playlook at (who am I kidding, I'm not good enough to play that
), thank you!
(btw I'd like to ask, where did the term 'left ring" came from?)
The left ring is from story of the song, lolFive minutes... whew. (Get ready for a lot of suggestions! XD) Consider placing a longer break in the middle, maybe 15-20 seconds.
Doesn't need for app map. Usually Taiko map doesn't need break too![Left Ring]
When a person maps a map as difficult as this one, it is hard for an outsider to comprehend entirely his/her thought process when placing these notes; and so, much of the suggestions below that refers to runs are just my ideas, not necessary a must.
00:06:139 - consider mapping these vocals
Hmm but I don't want too much at the soft place (soft part of song).00:11:087 - ^
00:12:943 (42) - change to k, match vocal's high pitch
ok00:17:427 (59) - delete, follow vocals
00:23:458 (76,77) - change to dk, follow vocal's pitch
It's quite far to next note if I delete this, so no00:33:046 (106) - move to 00:33:355, follow vocals
Actually I don't follow vocal at here lol00:35:520 (113) - move to 00:35:829, ^
00:47:891 (158) - change to k, follow vocals
yes, but it's already have ddk at before part so I don't want make it same00:50:365 (176) - ^
00:55:159 (208,209,210) - change to kkd, follow 00:53:922 (200,201,202)
nah, shouldn't be same because weird to play.01:02:891 (265,266,267,268) - change to kkddkk, singer sings a note at 01:03:046 (267), previously you've been mapping her voice to ddk runs, this would follow that pattern.
but this part I didn't follow any vocal but drum, lol01:18:201 - for this bar, consider getting rid of the 3-3-2 rhythmic pattern, as I could not find a similar rhythm in the music.
ok this is appear like this: if you hear properly, the all k is actually follow the drum snare.01:21:293 (409,410,411,412) - change to kkdd, follow guitar pitch
you're right but it kinda ruin the pattern kkddkk kkddkk lol I will consider it01:23:768 (423,424,425,426) - ^
01:31:809 (475,476,477) - change to kkk, follow guitar's pitch (if this is accepted, change previous note to d)
I don't want too much k at here so...01:34:283 (493,494,495) - ^
01:40:469 (538) - k, pitch
yeah, but k is too emphasize imo.01:48:664 (590,591) - change to dk, match vocals
sure01:52:376 (614,615,616) - change to kkd, match vocals
but the vocal tone is begin fade up, right?02:11:706 (709) - change to d, match vocals pitch decrease (unless you want to keep the 2/1 d pattern)
I'm follow to drum hit-hat02:15:726 (727) - change to k, match guitar entry
02:23:381 - add k, to better emphasize snare
but I didn't hear any snare here?02:30:726 (812,813,814) - change to ddk or ddd, first one is to match vocals, second one is to emphasize the following k note
ok I use ddk02:39:231 (878) - change to k, match guitar
great! changed02:39:850 (882) - where I would put a break if I were you, but I ain't you, so you decide on this
02:44:180 (914) - change to d, you have been previously mapping toms to d (02:40:932 (889), 02:41:706 (896), 02:43:407 (907)), this should follow suit
ok02:45:881 (925) - ^
the guitar is quite high tone , but I change something here02:46:654 (932) - ^
follow the drum hit-hat02:55:623 (999) - change to d, match guitar
follow the 2/4 beat situation02:57:788 (1017) - change to d, ^
02:58:252 (1020,1021) - change to dk, ^
I don't know but I find it really weird to play at here...03:10:314 (1113) - change to k, match vocals (and follow 03:12:788 (1132))
same03:31:036 (51,52) - change to k d, match vocals
03:43:716 (144,145,146,147) - see 01:02:891 (265,266,267,268)
03:49:747 (191) - change to k, match vocal's pitch increase
04:02:582 (295,296,297) - change to ddk, match singer's note at 04:02:737
04:03:974 to 04:23:767 - if you listen closely the backing guitar has this D - C# - A riff/thing that you might want to map, just a suggestion
uhh I'm not follow the guitar lol04:24:386 (450,451,452,453) - change to kkdd, match guitar pitch
04:26:860 (470,471,472,473) - ^
04:29:334 (490,491,492,493) - ^
04:29:953 (494,495,496) and 04:30:417 (498,499,500) - change to kkd, match guitar pitch
04:39:231 (574,575,576,577) - see 04:24:386
04:43:561 (1) - Holy. Crap. Longest spinner I've EVER seen. I don't want to change this, just want to comment on it, this is quite the sight.
hahaThere you go! Sorry for the wall of text Hope you find this mod helpful, and good luck beatmapping!
