  1. 00:07:189 (32) - delete it.it just an echo from the last beat, even in the gameplay its awkward.
  2. 00:13:642 (70) - k?
  3. 00:19:224 (102) - k if straight d,sounds kinda weird.
  4. 00:35:968 (210) - k?

  1. 00:07:189 (32) - delete it.it just an echo from the last beat, even in the gameplay its awkward. I'm not going with the drum, I'm going with the other instrument.
  2. 00:13:642 (70) - k? going with the kick of the drums
  3. 00:19:224 (102) - k if straight d,sounds kinda weird. I changed (101) into a k instead.
  4. 00:35:968 (210) - k? I have this as a d because of how the drummer waits for the snare which is on 00:36:142 (211), so that cancels out the d d k - d d k pattern and changes it to a d d k - d d d k
  5. 00:48:788 - add a circle here? wouldn't make sense to add one here XD so goofy
  6. 01:44:165 (580) - k? this feels better as a ddd
  7. 02:20:793 (804) - k? done
  8. 02:40:503 (915) - k? left this as a d since the finish is more D oriented, I didn't want to end the stream as a dkd and wanted to keep it as a simple roll.
  9. 02:54:107 (993,994) - k,make it straight k before going for the chorus. done
  10. 03:41:375 (1262) - k used the kick from the drum here
  11. 04:00:386 (1363) - k the roll is more lower pitched unlike the end that ends with a snare
  12. 04:06:491 (1399) - k? I have this as a ddd because of the hihat triple here
  13. 05:42:247 - add a circlefor this and the rest of the suggestions, I'm still going with only kicks and snares on this part.
  14. 05:42:770 - ^

Hi.
Suggestions only, nothing really wrong here, except that timing could be tweaked a little bit.

[General]
Timing: I am getting offset 1440.
Volume: I would recommend to use 85%, 100% feels a bit too loud.

[Taiko]
Will copy the timeline using offset 1440.
  1. 00:27:428 (149,150,151) - Shouldn't this be kkd? Snares are in the music and it would probably make more sense to have them because of the longer kdd<something> patterns here. It is also kinda expected since you mapped kats on red ticks around here.
  2. 00:28:823 (162,163,164,165,166,167,168) - kdkkddk? It would make sense to have a kat on the downbeat because the melody is progressing upwards, culminating there. Since you have a kat on the white tick afterwards, you would essentially having k d k dkd d which also plays and sounds really good. I just don't think ddkkkkd has enough impact, and since the last stream ended with a don, you can start with a kat for nice effect too, thus the kdkkddk.
  3. 01:21:498 (449,450,451) - I personally think that kdd doesn't fit that good if the emphasis is on the final note of the pattern. kkd fits much better. You used dkd later on and I like that one. If you want variety you could use dkd here and then you use kkd at 01:24:288 (464,465,466). I'll stop yapping about kdd here, just consider something else if you have a breakthrough @kdd patterns if the emphasis is on the last note, for the most of the map.
  4. 01:24:812 (468,469,470,471,472) - Since there are no real snares in the music, I would recommend kdkkd. I just love how it sounds and plays here. The same applies to 01:47:137 (596,597,598,599,600) and other occurrences like this (03:10:684 (1087,1088,1089,1090,1091,1092,1093), etc).
  5. 02:06:846 (712) - k? Sounds better.
  6. 02:12:166 (751) - I would suggest removing this. My thoughts are the same in this case as well, kdd and emphasis just like the above. I can't find a working alternative where to place this note so you can just remove it I guess.
  7. 02:20:800 (804,805,806) - dkd? Fits better than kdd imo.
  8. 03:04:928 (1055,1056,1057,1058,1059,1060,1061,1062,1063) - kkddkdkkd? Since there is no distinct snare pattern here, you can improvise, and I like this better. :P
  9. 03:43:126 (1268,1269,1270,1271,1272) - Comparing this to 03:48:707 (1295,1296,1297,1298,1299) makes either of those look inconsistent. Intentional? Probably, since it happens later on as well, but just check to be sure.
  10. 04:34:143 - Probably intentional, but consider placing a kat here.
  11. 04:46:091 (1634) - k? Same logic about melody going upwards etc.
  12. 04:54:288 (1684 ... 1706) - I would suggest to reconsider about not mapping the drumline here. kkd finish is preventing you from having a really long and awesome stream I think, so I think you should remove 04:54:376 (1685) and then map something like ddddddddkkkkkkkkddddkkkkddkkddkkd. Has a much better impact if you ask me.
  13. 05:57:253 (2039,2040,2041,2042,2043,2044,2045,2046) - I found this quite hard to read because of the finishes. I would suggest making 05:57:777 (2042) a don and then just removing finish from 05:57:951 (2043). You still get impact and emphasis where this finish was, and it's much more simple to read. Actually this also applies to 03:54:463 (1326,1327,1328,1329,1330,1331,1332,1333), forgot to mention that one.

I just don't think ddkkkkd has enough impact, and since the last stream ended with a don, you can start with a kat for nice effect too, thus the kdkkddk. to me, using kdkkddk would feel weird to play, and it's not something I would use at all. So I'll leave this.
  3. 01:21:498 (449,450,451) - I personally think that kdd doesn't fit that good if the emphasis is on the final note of the pattern. kkd fits much better. You used dkd later on and I like that one. I'll change 01:21:498 (449,450,451) to kkd so that I can change the small roll of 5 to kddkd and leave the dkd before it alone, that way it feels better to play and just flows into it.
  5. 02:06:846 (712) - k? Sounds better. Left this as a d, just because I'm manly hitting the kicks for this part.
  6. 02:12:166 (751) - I would suggest removing this. My thoughts are the same in this case as well, kdd and emphasis just like the above. I can't find a working alternative where to place this note so you can just remove it I guess. For this, I understand the kdd explanation, so instead of removing that, I just change that into dkd. That way I can go with the rim-snare that is played in the song itself.
  7. 02:20:800 (804,805,806) - dkd? Fits better than kdd imo. done
  8. 03:04:928 (1055,1056,1057,1058,1059,1060,1061,1062,1063) - kkddkdkkd? Since there is no distinct snare pattern here, you can improvise, and I like this better. :P done, I'd definately use something like this XD.
  9. 03:43:126 (1268,1269,1270,1271,1272) - Comparing this to 03:48:707 (1295,1296,1297,1298,1299) makes either of those look inconsistent. Intentional? Probably, since it happens later on as well, but just check to be sure. This was intentional, the higher pitch of the crash made me feel like I should use K.
  10. 04:34:143 - Probably intentional, but consider placing a kat here. didn't want to make it seem too awkward to play, so I left that spot empty. Having a roll end on a different finger than you started with it pretty weird to play.
  11. 04:46:091 (1634) - k? Same logic about melody going upwards etc. done
  12. 04:54:288 (1684 ... Has a much better impact if you ask me. instead of removing that one note, I just added more to it.
  13. 05:57:253 (2039,2040,2041,2042,2043,2044,2045,2046) - I found this quite hard to read because of the finishes. Thank you! I also added a few notes that fit to make it 2100 combo XD.

[le diff]
good, but i wanted to see that guitar solo mapped

pretty boring, while staying varied. song's goodness lets you not give up playing it, but it might get annoying if you miss and restart. luckily, it's not a hard map, so this all balances out well.

not much to be 'corrected'. good mappu.

lolcubes fixed up the rough parts it seems heheh
Nyquill
ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS A TAIKO DIFF
IT WAS SHUPAH KAWAII

SPOILER
21:01 Nyquill: I really think
21:01 Nyquill: you need to end some streams on dons, buts thats just me
21:01 Nyquill: haha
21:01 Nyquill: 04:46:091 (1640) - like that
21:01 Love: I mainly use dons for the downbeats
21:01 Love: nah
21:01 Nyquill: that is a downbeat
21:02 Love: that's a higher pitch
21:02 Love: so I left it that way
21:02 Nyquill: okey
21:02 Love: :3
21:03 Nyquill: 05:46:266 (1994) -
21:03 Nyquill: I also
21:03 Nyquill: wanted to play this as a don
21:03 Nyquill: (seems better to go into the K as well)
21:03 Nyquill: since you also had another d K right before that
21:03 Nyquill: ... and right after that for that matter
21:03 Nyquill: huh.
21:04 Love: lol
21:04 Love: I kept variety but kept it repeating
21:04 Love: listen to it again
21:05 Love: the first one, you can hear the kick
21:05 Love: but the one you linked
21:05 Love: there's no kick
21:05 Love: then it goes back to the kick
21:05 Love: :D
21:05 Nyquill: true
21:06 Nyquill: 03:01:440 (1038) - since this isn't a heavy measure
21:07 Nyquill: I think the don would do better
21:07 Nyquill: 1/2 before
21:07 Nyquill: at 03:01:266
21:08 Love: yeah
21:08 Nyquill: theres more to play at 03:01:266 - it feels like
21:08 Love: cause the vocal sticks out a little more
21:08 Nyquill: yep
21:08 Love: done :3
21:08 Nyquill: ;w;
21:08 Love: lol
21:08 Love: anything else? :3
21:09 Love: btw, you should totally post this since it's technically an irc mod
21:09 Nyquill: 01:38:242 (546) - Feels a bit extra
21:10 Nyquill: I might depending on
21:10 Nyquill: how much longer this goes on
21:10 Nyquill: haha
21:10 Nyquill: 01:39:027 - there totally sounds like a note here rather in the percussion btw
21:10 Love: hmm
21:11 Love: well
21:11 Love: the D there
21:11 Love: lol
21:11 Nyquill: o right
21:11 Love: that's the only reason why I did that
21:11 Nyquill: ffffffffffffffffff
21:11 Love: lol :3
21:12 Nyquill: 01:47:312 (599) - kat? Personally I think it fits the snare more
21:12 Nyquill: but might be just me
21:12 Love: to me
21:12 Love: kdkkd is like
21:12 Love: really awkward to play
21:12 Nyquill: oh so thats a preference choice then
21:13 Nyquill: eh doesn't really matter
21:13 Love: only because the main notes that should be used are d
21:13 Love: yeah
21:13 Love: lol
21:13 Love: explained the same thing to lolcubes
21:13 Nyquill: rather
21:13 Nyquill: the lone kat in the middle feels odd
21:14 Nyquill: so maybe move the kat after to 01:47:312 (599) - instead since it'll be ona red tick for the snare?
21:14 Nyquill: dd to end a stream also feels better imo
21:14 Nyquill: but up to you again
21:14 Love: the pitch of the roll too
21:14 Love: like
21:14 Love: take out the notes
21:14 Love: kdkkd fits better
21:14 Love: but kddkd plays better imo
21:15 Love: which is a better substitution
21:16 Love: while kdkdd is simple, gets the job done, but it's not gonna fit with the kdkkd because you really don't hear the 2nd k in kdkkd
21:16 Love: but you do hear the 3rd one
21:16 Nyquill: eh really?
21:17 Nyquill: i think the second k in kdkkd is pretty significant
21:17 Love: but kkddd works
21:17 Love: lol
21:17 Love: I'm trying to listen to it better
21:18 Love: yeah
21:18 Love: tell me how kkddd looks
21:18 Nyquill: wait
21:18 Nyquill: same location?
21:18 Love: lmao
21:18 Love: yeah
21:18 Love: it's exactly what it is
21:18 Love: gg to the both of us
21:18 Nyquill: true
21:18 Love: had to turn my volume up
21:18 Nyquill: ww
21:19 Love: XP
21:20 Nyquill: 01:18:707 (434) - I really think a don here works well
21:21 Love: think making it into a roll would be better?
21:21 Nyquill: unless you want to roll kats into the kiai here, though you didn't really do this for the rest of the times you lead a measure into the kiai
21:21 Love: kkddk---
21:21 Nyquill: err
21:21 Love: lol
21:21 Nyquill: yeah probably
21:22 Love: done
21:22 Nyquill: wwwwwwwwwww
21:22 Love: XP
