For some reason since yesterday my download speeds are at about 30 kb/sec, where my net is able to run at 900 kb/sec no problem.

Do you have any applications running or updating, or are you downloading at the same time ?

Im having a problem downloading beatmaps lately. It goes really slow even with osu direct. Im currently downloading a beatmap with just ~30KB/s from the homepage and even in game it goes so slow

This is going on for days for me now. My internet connection is 25mbit download and i should be able to download songs in a couple of seconds. Right now its taking me up to 10 minutes.

Anyone else experiencing those download speeds?

Everything's been downloading super fast on my fast connection. I don't think this is osu!'s fault, but something on your end.

What additional info should i provide to resolve this? My internet provider is UPC Broadband GmbH and im in Austria if that helps anything

I still get 10-20MB/s from osu!. Can get up to 80 from a US machine. Really need more information / traceroutes.

Edit: I just tried downloading two songs and i noticed one song is downloading alot faster than the other one.
The songs are:

The second one was done in a couple seconds and the first one was slow again.
I was suprised and i thought my internet is fault so i tried to download a random song in osu direct and no its still super slow.

Then i tried redownloading the second beatmap i linked there and it was still downloading fast.

No I said my net's perfectly capable of running 900 kb/sec. Just for some reason I can't download more than 30 kb/sec from Osu, really hampers multiplayer play D:

Hold your horses, no need to get pissy. Neither you nor I know why the download speed is slow.

And that's why I was just putting it out there to see if maybe someone else was suffering to. Criminal?

Explain the issue you are having:
Recently, within the last couple days, i have been having extremely low download speeds when downloading new beatmaps. I used to normally download at 350kbs, which is normal for my internet connection. However, i now download at around 50~70kbps when downloading beatmaps. I checked downloading on other sites and i get my normal 350kbs, so i think its an issue on the Osu end. Is there some new download cap that im unaware of or something now? Some kind of help/explanation would be great! Thanks everyone.

Yep that seems to be my problem as well. Hopefully there will be some kind of solution available for this soon.

Some of my friends also reporting slow download speeds! I have posted a traceroutes i hope it is right. Is there any info on this what is happeneing?

How are other downloads similar in size downloaded in comparison to osu! ?
I really think it's a problem on your side.

Well i just torrented 3 gb with a download speed of 3 mb per second earlier.
Maybe it is a problem with EU. Kite says the download is going slow lately and he lives in Germany.
But then again Doorknob who is living in US is also saying the download is slow for him.

I dont know, lately the homepage is not as responsive as well and randomly you have to wait alot before the next page shows. Or you reload and then again it shows again. Im pretty sure it is not on my side, i think its more about the internet connection.
