And things in live action horror movies are usually 3d animation (or nothing at all ie, Paranormal Activity) and horror books are just words. Horror is about wearing on your psyche through atmosphere and suspense. The same logic can be applied to any anime that tries to appeal to human emotion and since I think you've made the same claim about sad anime I think you just have an autistic's level at comprehending human empathy.

Parasyte is good and scary
honestly looking for a good one too. so far my favorite is higurashi and maybe shiki.
some good ones which i wouldn't say are exactly horror but kinda include that genre would be monster, ghost hound, parasyte, perfect blue, kara no kyoukai series or shinsekai yori but again, i wouldn't really say any of them are classic horror.

no.6 really freaked me out tbh, there's so much gore in the last few episodes
