Which is better to improve on a map?

So i want to know which one is better, to just do the map from the start to finish dying and dying till you learn the map or to use the no fail mod to learn the map and then doing it without the mod?

Neither. Play easier maps until you get better and then play maps that you were struggling on.

That's obviously doesn't apply to all kind of maps, but at your stage it's pretty much it.

I wouldn't go that far. Only playing those kinds of maps or retrying one over and over is bad for improvement, sure, but playing them here and there won't do any harm.

You can use NF for some maps like stream heavy, jump heavy or maps you want to see all the patterns but dont overuse it, dont use it in maps like 1* higher than what you usually play.
But overall, play maps that are challenging for you and you can pass
