[Archived] Input latency

Hey, I’ve been having a lot of issues with input latency. I’m getting like 5 ms of latency when other people are getting far less. This issue only seems to happen in osu! And I just want to know, is it my pc, my mouse, or the game itself? Thanks for any help.

Could you give your PC specs? Do you use a mouse or tablet? If a tablet, what driver are you using? Are you making sure you're using dedicated graphics if you have them? Are there any other open processes that are taking up CPU power? Do you have compatibility mode or the reduce dropped frames options in osu's settings? (They can increase latency)

First, the specs: (I’m aware it’s a potato)
Intel core i3 550
4gb ddr3 ram
ATI Radeon hd 3650
And that’s really all I know, since it’s just a basic dell machine

As for input, I use a hiraliy f300 mouse, and it’s not the mouse, since I don’t have noticeable latency problems on other games like tf2.

I tried compatibility mode and it made it worse, so I turned that off.
