[Archived] Osu! keeps opening and closing the update box on install.

Problem Details:
When I was installing osu! it was fine and now I am in a infinite loop in the game updater.

I'm also having the same issue

Also, this is the last few parts of the logs. should I download the missing dll manually?

I also can neither install osu! on PC and laptop. Updates are just looping without an end.

Please try installing with the old installer, instead.

The old installer indeed helps. Now somehow i can't log in even after verification.

Log out from both the client and the website and log back in.

same problem here , i think the windows version is the issue because i was running osu in win8.1 fine without problems but now i have this problem with another version of win 8.1 (sry abt the bad english)


EDIT: Lacrimosa's method works ! i downloaded the old installer he gaves us then after the install i run the game then it did an update and it worked like sharm ... thanks dude even if it's been 3years xd
