This would be nice. Implementing this feature would most likely either involve allowing only icon changes or a complete rewrite and allow things to be changed and manipulated past just an image. If it were the former, then I don't see much of a point as the editor is supposed to be function over form, that is what it was designed for. If however the latter, and a complete rewrite is needed, we are getting that in osu!Lazer so we will have to wait and see what gets changed beyond the present editor.
