Problem Details:
I know I'm probably an idiot but I just started playing osu! after 7 months again but when I complete a spinner it gets all blurred for a split second. Also, when I'm doing good sparkles come from the left and right side of the screen. How do I turn these off?

osu! version: 20170928.1cuttingedge

You're not an idiot. First, disable the softening filter in your options. About those sparkles, you need to put a transparent file into your skin folder named "star2". Then press ctrl+shift+alt+s or restart osu! for taking the effect

I looked in my settings and found that softening filter was already disabled and that it was actually shaders thanks to you. I'll definitely try putting a file into my skin folder though. Thanks!
