[Archived] Desktop resolution lower after quitting osu! client

So I just got a new computer, i5 7400 w/ intel hd630 integrated graphics, and I installed osu!. I played a bit, put my resolution down to 1280x720 because that's what I'm used to, played a bit more, then quit, and my desktop resolution was 1280x720! I changed my resolution back to native via the intel graphics interface, then tried opening and closing osu again, and the same thing happened, it downscaled my desktop screen to 1280x720 again, and I had to change my resolution back in the intel hd graphics interface.

What is wrong, and how do I solve this issue?

This is what happens when you use any resolution that isn't native. Happens with nearly all games. Just make sure you are using letterboxing when using a lower resolution, also it's not that big of a deal when you close osu! next time you should just be able to press alt+tab and have it go back to normal.

But on my old computer, a low end AMD APU, I did not have this issue, and the desktop would just go back to native resolution after I quit osu!.
