[resolved] profile showing a wrong/outdated score?

Problem Details:
my profile says that the highest score i have for one specific song (in this case Seiryu - Critical Crystal [Lust's Normal]) has a b rank on dt even though i already got a higher score + an s rank. when i click on the song in my profile under top ranks it even tells me that my highest score is the one with the s rank. this hasnt happened ever before and it always updates the scores very fast if not instantaneously. am i maybe missing something obvious here or is it just updating slowly/not at all?

It shows here that you have the 99% one.

Probably you should wait at least 24 hours for your profile to recalculate
It might fix itself after

Since we see the 99% one, there's nothing to worry about

oh thank you for checking it too. like i said it never happened to me before and i was just used to it being updated instantly so i thought there is something going on but i think youre right, its probably just temporary. ill keep this updated though if it doesnt change for whatever reason.

thanks

No no, what's going on is the new update that allows multiple scores on the same map. :P

That's a new feature!

See the changelog!
[peppy] Allow multiple scores per map for all ranked maps (previously only loved).
Basically, this means you can play a map on different mods, and for PP's sake, the highest PP one will be counted. That means that you can keep your sexy no-mod SS while trying to do HDHR, or do DT.

Keep in mind that this won't apply for records that, while better in PP, doesn't beat the score of another record of the same mod. For instance, an HDHR FC at 96% will not get overwritten when you make a 99% HDHR choke that's worth more PP.

OH okay i think i get it.
so in my case i had 2 scores:

b rank 90% accuracy with double time
s rank 99% accuracy with hard rock

but because the b rank score gives me more pp it is the only one that shows up on my profile page? (while the one with the higher score stays in the leader boards)

so for each difficulty you will keep one score on your profile page (that gives you the highest pp) but you are allowed to have more scores with different mods for the leader boards? am i getting this right?

thanks for the info btw this wouldve bothered me so much

Yes, so when it comes to accounting for PP, only your highest score will be accounted for. For instance, if I scored a No-Mod SS on Daidai Genome [Insane] worth 138pp or so, while choking but nearly FCing Daidai Genome DT worth 250pp or so, osu! would have both scores in the leaderboards, but the DT 250pp one will apply to your profile. In the meantime, your no-mod SS will be top regular score, but both scores are actually on the leaderboards. When it was first introduced for Loved maps, Toy had two scores, one on EZ and one nomod or something.

That's what I thought, but it confused me so much that I didn't link it yet :?
Edit: Still a bit confusing

as far as i understand it the new update just allows you to have a seperate high score for every single mod combination that you use. so you can have like a no mod highscore, a dt one and an hr one in the leader boards. but the only score that will appear on your profile page is the one that gives you the most pp, all the other ones will remain on the leader board but obviously will have no effect whatsoever on your pp
