Problem Details:
So once again my osu! updated... And once again all my beatmaps and local scores are gone.. Im just gonna ask, is this something that should happen or is this an error? If it is an error is there anyway to fix it.

osu! version: 20161227.2 (latest)

Press F5 in game to refresh your beatmaps.

The beatmaps were somehow deleted in the folders they were in. So F5 is out of the question.

I don't think anyone is getting my problem. So to clarify every time osu! updates, it somehow deletes all my beatmaps and removes all my local scores. Now what I'm asking is if what's happening is an "error" or something that should happen. And if it is an error is there any "PERMANENT" solution to stop osu! from doing that.

Things I have tried:
Pressing F5
Moving the osu! folder
Reinstalling osu!

P.S. Im pretty sure people are gonna say, "just backup your beatmaps", but do you know how much of a hassle it is to backup every beatmaps especially when I download new ones, and that won't also resolve the fact that my local scores are getting removed.

Where is osu! Installed?
Does all the songs disappear in the \Songs\ Folder?

Try moving the whole osu! To the desktop or somewhere else
See if it still happens when it updates
Mykaterasu
Revert to fallback to see if the problem persists.

Suggesting to revert to fallback is never recommended unless their client 100% doesn't work.

Moving between Fallback and later versions can cause issues with your client so I would recommend against it.

Like I said in my previous post, it does disappear from the folder, and I also already tried moving the folder multiple times already back then :/

Thx for the heads up. I wont revert to Fallback anytime soon.

I have no idea how it would get deleted in the \Songs\ folder after a beatmap.
It would be best if you scan your computer for viruses first then run a repair of osu!
Method 1: Launch Repair Dialog
  1. Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard.
  2. While holding Shift, double click the osu! icon on your desktop.
  3. Continue holding Shift until you see the recovery dialog prompt.
  4. From there, click on the "Repair osu!" option
Method 2: Shortcut
If you have the "repair osu!" Shortcut, opening that also works.

Method 3: Config Shortcut
If you don't have the "repair osu!" Shortcut, you can create one instead.
  1. Right click osu!.exe > Create a shortcut
  2. Open properties of the shortcut
    1. Select then Alt + Enter or
    2. Right click > Properties
  3. Set Target to ...\osu!.exe -config
  4. Press OK then open the shortcut
Method 4: Text document
You can also force the updater to run by creating a new text document in your osu! folder called "help". Right-click in an empty space in your osu! folder, and choose New > Text Document.
Name it help and then run osu! to start the updater in forced maintenance mode.

Okay I'll be trying this, hopefully when the next update comes it wont delete my beatmaps or local scores anymore :| :| .
