Random short mod to give you a general idea on how to map easier diffs

[General]
  1. SV (slider velocity) in lower diffs are extremely fast. you really should lower them
  2. also I don't believe in this decimal bpm...
  3. Hard diff needs major nerf for better spread. the spacing is really too big

[Easy]
  1. OD3 HP3 seems too harsh for the easiest diff. try to lower them by 1 each.
  2. 1.2 SV in easy diff is probably unacceptable. I strongly suggest you lower it to .8~1.0 range
  3. 00:05:878 (1,2,1) - usually overlapping like this in the easiest diff is a really bad idea. New players tend to click whatever is closest instead of looking for what to actually hit.
  4. 00:10:492 (2) - you also usually don't do this. slider is way to short to react for new players to realize there are multiple reverse arrows.
  5. 00:15:106 (1,2) - same as above
  6. 00:16:644 (2,1) - you really should keep the distance in each note consistent in easier diffs. so it is easier for new players to read the rhythm.
  7. 00:22:797 (2,3,4) - you usually don't stack notes under sliders in easy diffs. moreover, you have another stacked note 00:24:719 (4) - with different measure of rhythm apart. so it's a really bad idea
  8. 00:27:411 (1,2) - this is same as 00:10:492 (2) -
  9. 00:30:487 (1,2) - the stacks are off. and also I prefer you don't stack like this. same reason as 00:05:878 (1,2,1) -
  10. 00:33:564 (1,2) - this stack is hard, and also 00:33:564 (1) - you know what i'm talking about
  11. 00:35:102 (2,3) - the cirfcle is almost touching the slider, rearrange a little so players have a better view, for example
  12. 00:38:178 (2,1) - this stack will confuse the poop out of new players
  13. 00:39:716 (1,1) - the overlap should be gone
  14. 00:41:639 (1,2,3,4) - this is a really confusing placement. the stack must be unstakced
  15. 00:42:792 (4,1,2,3) - this is an unrankable pattern for an easy diff i think
  16. 00:50:483 (3) - same as 00:10:492 (2) -
  17. 00:55:097 (1,2) - usually the reason why we use lower SV in easy diff is to have new players react better, but lower SV also lets us have more space to use because we will be using long sliders like this. so I really suggest you to lower your SV and you will be able to have a better pattern here.
  18. 00:56:635 (2,1,2,3,4,1) - really really hard
  19. 01:04:710 (3,1) - overlap
  20. 01:12:593 (1,2) - try things like this, a lot better to read and the unnecessary overlap is gone.
  21. 01:14:708 (3,4) - same as 00:10:492 (2) -
  22. 01:24:321 (1) - spinner ending at 01:27:013 - has more impact to the finish imo.

00:15:092 (1) - Whistleslide isn't necessary here otherwise you would have to implement it in every other note for balance. So removing it wouldn't do you any harm

00:22:785 (3,1) - Snap please jumps are not necessary in a normal difficulty map
00:27:400 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - Sequence is going to be a little too hard to be called a "normal" difficulty map

  • i would like to remind you, since this is the easiest diff in the mapset and dedicated for beginners, please use the same ds thorough the diff until the end. when i testplayed it, i already noticed some violation against the ds because you wanted to make a symmetry (like 00:05:861 (1,2) - )

    and personally idk why you make old-styled curved slider like 00:15:092 (1) - 00:16:631 (2) - when you can just use 3 nodes to make simple curves like http://puu.sh/drhjV/37f98f3529.jpg since no one used old-style sliders anymore. mappers nowadays prefer 3 nodes curve
  1. 00:04:323 (2,1) - fix the ds between them, should be 1.0x
  2. 00:05:861 (1,2) - ^ dang it this one is really far. ctrl+G the (2) slider then adjust the ds, but it will make the appearance horrible, so i kinda tweaked the slider's shape and here's what i made http://puu.sh/drgSV/49b9dcc253.jpg or if you want to change the slider's shape yourself, then that's cool . when you fix this, you should also adjust 00:08:938 (1) - prior to the change above

  • when i testplayed this, some sv changes don't really fit the song and it's kinda awkward when i played it. for example, 00:35:861 (1) - 00:37:015 (5) - 00:45:861 (4,6) - 01:00:477 (3) - 01:18:746 (2,3) - 01:21:246 (1,3) - 01:22:785 (1) - there's no significant change in the music (like, for example, the music suddenly turned into a quiet atmosphere) that can be accented with lower sv and yet you lowered it, even though the instrument in this song is still loud. i know that you're trying to emphasize the vocal, but it's really uncomfortable to play. maybe if it's insane diff, then it's okay

your mapping's still a bit rough, but your style is quite unique, i think. i suggest to see other ranked maps and learn their patterns and flow, like how they place their sliders and circles accordingly so that the player can enjoy it when they played it. i guess your forte's in mapping insaney diff, since your insane diffs are great

  1. Just want to point out that for some reason the AiMod says that you need at least 1 Easy/Normal diff. It's funny because this mapset definitely have both.

Easy

  2. 00:21:251 (1,2) - Flow can be improved.
  3. 00:22:790 (1,3) - Avoid stack.
  4. 00:30:482 (1) - Move this circle one grid up and left. This flows better to me.
  5. 00:38:174 (3) - Minor, but this blanket can be improved.
  6. 00:39:328 (4,1) - Imrpove blanket.
  7. 00:43:559 (2,3,1) - Fix these spacings.
  8. 00:44:328 (3,1) - Weird flow.
  9. 00:47:405 (5,1) - Blanket can be improved.
  10. 00:56:636 (3,4) - Fix spacing.

  7. 00:31:059 (3,4) - Improve blanket.
  8. 00:32:020 (1,2) - Flows weird. You should reflect 00:32:020 (1).
  9. 00:38:174 (1,3) - Improve blanket.
  10. 00:41:251 (5,1,3,1) - I made my point.
  11. 00:45:866 - Remove SV change. This doesn't fit and the spacing is messed up.

  8. 00:43:366 (3,4,5) - This part doesn't play well. Keep spacing.
  9. 00:46:155 (8) - Circle doesn't fit. Remove.
  10. 00:46:251 (1,2,3,4) - Huge jumps.
  11. 00:47:213 (4,1) - Blanket.

The jumps... no, in general this difficulty seems too random. The most SV changes are not necessary and also too random. They are too fast AND too slow. 00:59:713 SV 1.5 is way too fast. The whole spacing messed up here, so these EXTREME jumps are way underrated. This difficulty has Stardifficulty of 4.47. It should be something about 5. I guess you know what I want to point out.

Anyway, this is actually a good mapset. Good luck!
