About slider rotation:
explaination
good flow guarantees convinent moving at all time, your mod didn't take former two objects' movement into account.
In fact one don't need to move with this kind of short sliders, therefore direction doesn't matter. However, for beginners, they try to move fully with the sliderball and both former and latter should be considered. Like in this picture:

I tried to make angle 1 and 2 equal to provide best flow.
