The time I actually did "quit" was when I just left for like 7-8 months, unmentioned and out of nowhere.
The threads were just sad begging for attentions.
lol when I was unable to get on for a few months I didn't say anything, I just stopped getting on. then for like 6 months every week or 2 people would be all "Vext... ; w ;" "Veeeeext..." "I miss Vext ; ;" Sending me messages and posting it on forums. What was the point of this again? Guess there wasn't one, let's create one. The real lesson here is, if you have to make a farewell thread for attention, you won't get a thing but mockery unless you are very renowned. If however you simply leave without telling anyone and people know you, you will get much positive attention.
I didn't really explain myself when I left for Thailand. Although I did, however, feel compelled to write a huge wall of text explaining my absence when I got back.
The only reason anyone seems to get on the internet anyways is for attention. We never seem to get on it just to be with other people. There are exceptions of course but the attention whoring is usually the case

I get on when I am bored. I do whatever I feel like because I feel like doing it to do it. Not for people to notice me or anything. I'm pretty sure a lot of people on here are the same, you can pretty easily tell which ones by the ones that don't give the slightest of fucks about 99% of the people/stuff on here.

I get on internet to find distraction and to have fun with others.
I guess the majority of people you know are pp farmers that want attention for it, and the exception is the people who don't and just have fun with others.
