[STD/o!M4K] SWEAT LAN 2019 at Highlander Con @ UCR

ABOUT


Hello again! For the fourth year in a row, Highlander Gaming at the University of California, Riverside is hosting the Standard/Mania Weekend End of Autumn Tournament (SWEAT) event in November, and osu! Riverside will be included in the venue again! We hope to see all kinds of competitors from Southern California as well as other regions. This year, both osu!standard and osu!mania 4K will have tournaments.

The event is BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) and only people present at the event may participate in the tournament.

NOTE: If you are bringing a desktop setup or a setup that requires more than one power outlet you are expected to provide your own power strip or surge protector.

WHERE: Highlander Union Building (HUB) Room 269, 900 University Ave, Riverside, CA 92507
(parking is free at Lot 1 for event attendees!)

TOURNAMENT INFO


Seeding/Group Stage: Players will play through all the maps in the mappool and are given a certain amount of points depending on how well they placed against other players.

After seeding, the bracket will be set and begin, each bracket will be as follows:

Rounds: Best of 5
Quarterfinals: Best of 5
Semifinals: Best of 7
Finals: Best of 9
Grandfinals: Best of 11
Seeding: Players will be seeded by rank. There will be no group stage.

MATCH RULES


  1. Scores will be in Score v2.
  2. Matches will be Head to Head.
  3. Invites will be sent out 5-10 minutes before scheduled time.
  4. No Mod will utilize no modifications, Hard Rock will have Hard Rock on, Hidden has Hidden, and Double Time with Double Time. These are required.
  5. Players may pick Hidden or Flashlight for a Double Time map.
  6. In a Free Mod pick, both players must use Hard Rock, Hidden, Flashlight, Easy, or a combination of any.
  7. In case where both players are one game off from a win, a predetermined Tiebreaker map will be played, if both players get the same score on the tiebreaker they must play it a second time to determine the winner.
  8. Players are allowed to use mods on Tiebreaker but is not required.
  9. Players cannot pick the same mod twice in a row.
  10. Failed scores will count

  2. Scores will be added up to determine seeding with the highest score getting 1st seed.
  3. No warm-ups or bans.
  4. There will be 2 No Mod maps, 2 Hard Rock maps, 2 Hidden maps, and 2 Double Time maps.
  1. No group stage.


Rounds and Beyond
  1. !roll will determine picks and ban order.
  2. The higher roll will pick the the first map in map pool. The lower roll will choose to ban first.
  3. In the event of a tied roll, each player will use the !roll command again.
  4. Bans will be declared before picks.
  5. There will be no warmup maps.
  6. Picks will be in alternating order starting with the higher roll.
  7. There will be 1 ban per player from Rounds to Grand Finals.
  8. Rounds will be Best of 5, the first to win 3 maps wins the match.
  9. Rounds will consist of 3 No Mod, 3 Hard Rock, 3 Hidden, 3 Double Time maps, and a Tiebreaker map.
  10. Quarterfinals will be Best of 5, the first to win 3 maps wins the match.
  11. Quarterfinals will consist of 3 No Mod, 3 Hard Rock, 3 Hidden, 3 Double Time, and a Tiebreaker map.
  12. Semifinals will be Best of 7, the first to win 4 maps wins the match.
  13. Semifinals will consist of 3 No Mod, 3 Hard Rock, 3 Hidden, 3 Double Time, and a Tiebreaker map.
  14. Finals will be Best of 9, the first to win 5 maps wins the match.
  15. Finals will consist of 3 No Mod, 3 Hard Rock, 3 Hidden, 3 Double Time, and a Tiebreaker map.
  16. Grand Finals will be Best of 11, the first to win 6 maps wins the match.
  17. Grand Finals will consist of 3 No Mod, 3 Hard Rock, 3 Hidden, 3 Double Time, and a Tiebreaker map.
  18. In the Grand Finals, the participant from the winner's bracket will have a 1 match advantage.
  19. Each map pool will have a Tiebreaker map in the event of a tie.
  1. There will be one ban per player.

  12. Semifinals will be Best of 7, the first to win 4 maps wins the match.
  13. Semifinals will consist of 12 Free Mod maps and a Tiebreaker map.
  14. Finals will be Best of 9, the first to win 5 maps wins the match.
  15. Finals will consist of 16 Free Mod maps and a Tiebreaker map.
  16. Grand Finals will be Best of 11, the first to win 6 maps wins the match.
  17. Grand Finals will consist of 19 Free Mod maps and a Tiebreaker map.
  18. In the Grand Finals, the participant from the winner's bracket will have a 1 match advantage.
  19. If all players agree, Grand Finals may use the same mappool as Finals.


Other Format Information
  1. Both players will report scores to main desk.
  2. Both players must unanimously agree on the winner.
  3. In case of disagreement a referee will check the match history and determine a winner.
  4. In the event that a player misses their match when called, we will attempt to delay their match as much as possible in order to accommodate. However, we reserve the right to declare a match a Win by Default any time after a player does not show to their match.
  1. Unsportsmanlike behavior and harassment will not be tolerated and a first offense will result in a warning. Any subsequent offenses will result in disqualification.
  2. Players will have their computers inspected prior to the beginning of matches to ensure that there are no illegal programs running at the time. A positive in an illegal program test will result in disqualification.
