"Ready" button in MP delayed [invalid]

Sometimes, but not always, the "ready" button doesn't instantly react but instead only toggles after a second or so of delay.
Happens to my friends as well, but we couldn't identify the exact cause for this, it just seems to happen randomly...

This happens when the latency of the connection between your PC and the server is too high (it could be changed so the ready status changes when you click it, not after you receive the server's response about your status. But that wouldn't be a very good idea)

Well, it happens to all my friends as well and I don't notice any latency issues elsewhere (also, this has never happened before)

Ever since I went to college, which apparently has bad internet connection (at least where I live), which is also really annoying >_>, I've had this problem but to a much higher extent. Back at home I have never encountered this.
