Maybe a little less sarcasm and over-exploitation might be necessary to help the mapper feel more comfortable with this "aid" that is being offered.

Pertaining to the similarty of maps, surely there is nothing wrong with using patterns that other mappers have used in the past? Even if it's in the same map. Maybe both Philippines and LKs really enjoyed the way v2b represented the music at certain points in the song (what Charles suggested LKs did with that one timestamp). Is it wrong to use patterns other people have created? How else are we to learn and incorporate genius ideas through the medium which is the map? It's not like they copy/pasted entire sections of v2b's version that make this a complete infringement. They simply sifted what they liked out of it most and refurbished it in their own creation. Again, there is nothing wrong with mimicking patterns and ideas. This is the only way to create, expand and develop new works.

sry, being influenced by his manner of speaking, I responsed not in a very proper tone. but still I checked all his suggestions and explained why I kept this here or there. so basically this modding-checking-updating process is nearly to an end, so just waiting for his recheck now.

btw I bluntly suppose the reason he being strange there was because he personally dislike v2b's version quite a lot so he got mad seeing another map using similar patterns. A peculiar sense of justice would appear and attach to people asking them to promote justice. However actually if we analyze my diff from 3 essences, rhythm, placement and hitsound. Only a little bit of placement looks surprisingly the same(10% of placement, apporximately). Then it means only 3% is the same within the whole map (100-33-33-(100-10)/3) (making them white in order not to get the thread looking messy

00:18:458 to 00:20:876 - Clustered mess of objects. The hitbursts get in the way, making this very hard to read. It doesn't help that the angles change often.this is not hard to read. For your level, it could be hard to read, but you'll realize the flow of circles if you'll pay attention the approach circles.

I don't see how this one became a problem. Can you explain it a bit more?

00:23:295 - The claps are really irritaing sounding. It's too loud! You'd be better off with the whistles you had on the harder difficulties.

i believe the repeats are predictable on this part. and the reverse arrow is 50% visible so i am very confident to say this is fine.

01:39:473 (1,2) - This is a bad way to start off the stream. The player has to mostly guess how many repeats are in the (1). If they mess up it's 50's everywhere. Not fair to the player.
have you forgotten about the thing called Approach circle?


02:16:353 (7) - This would be better angled more to the right to fit the pattern and be less hidden by the previous hitburst.

Chrome has circle streams that last 16 notes. Silver has no circle streams.
i am aware of this one. And since i want to keep the streams in this difficulty, i just stacked them and decreased the spacing so it'd be easy to hit. and i like how it turned out ~


The spread is quite bad between these two difficulties because of such a high BPM.

00:06:819 - This is not a beat. This repeat is mapped to nothing. The sound that begins close to that beat actually comes in significantly earlier.
i did this because using the same slider lengths would sound boring. So i did a little tweek on the hit sounds to give a little uniqueness to the sounds.

00:27:376 - These claps are horribly loud and don't fit with the rest of the set.

Charles, I just checked Platinum and apart Hitsounds (which i'm not a fan of but that's not the point) there are like no problems I can visualize.
The map plays fine and it's pretty awesome too.

00:39:014 - the kkkdk -> dkddd stuffs are more like a random and symmetric 5-plet over the stream but they do not actually fit the melodic shift.

- Sections like 00:42:944 - could be softer.
- Streamy part like 00:23:295 - --- the piano stream sounds like allowing any kind of stream, but quite a number of them, like 0:39 --- like a randomly picked one and they hardly inspire me.

00:22:085 - ddd k fits the drum quite well.
01:14:080 - this musical note sounds something equivalent to 01:14:534 - , 01:14:987 - etc., so I don't see why there isn't a finish for the note.

They have heavier sound and beat in the music, and what people get recognized from 01:03:802 (5,6) - will conflict with these 01:04:633 (2,3,4,5) -
by the way, the way you map follows the music greatly too , just different rhythm , if I were you , I would replace these points 01:04:633 (2,3,4,5) - with 1/4 sliders instead to at least "introduce and guide" how the next rhythm will be, so this will be more expected :)

these look awesome in my opinion , but when I play, I feel they are a bit hard to read because of how it stacks and my ability of playing.
however, I tried adding NC on these points and they became really easier and fun to read while playing (because of different combo's color indicates more clearly for these points)
but again, all about NC here will ruin the way you NC in the rest of the map.

also Philippines please don't overlook Mr Color's mod post , it is useful.
what I give here are all suggestions and feedback that I got from playing only. You are free to ignore or fix whatever you want.

Just doing a quick poke at the Platinum diff since that seems to be in contention. I started in IRC, but since your keyboard is having issues (?) here's your post.

Set your stack leniency to default. There's no reason for it to be so low.
00:12:110 (1) - Sudden .5x -> 1x is rather jarring and generally discouraged in modern mapping due to having much better options available to make such a transition much smoother.
00:18:458 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Can you spread these out a bit more? Maybe do a slight rotate on them. They're pretty much covered up by hitbursts and a pain to read. "Extra" or not, you want the hit objects to be accessible and readable. Difficulty level doesn't matter.
00:34:177 (1,2,3,5,6,7,9,10,11) - Maybe have more obvious change in this curve so it gives the impression that there is a change like what you did at 00:27:224 (5,7) - and 00:37:956 (3,5,7,9) -
00:40:677 (7,8) - This gap in the rhythm is placed oddly. It feels like you're not finishing up the rhythmic phrase. Try deleting the 6 and the 13 for a more natural rhythm. Also on 00:41:810 (6) -
00:44:455 (1) - More with the weird and unfitting .5x stuff. All of that super-slow movement kills any sort of flow you had for 00:53:222 (6,7) - since it's the same part of the same phrase you had mapped prior, but suddenly you have giant spacing for seemingly no reason at all.
00:57:152 (1,2) - Shouldn't this be 1/3? Slow the song down and listen to it. 1/4 sounds wrong. The end of 2 is snapped right though. There's a bunch in here. You know what to do.
00:59:268 (2) - This slider is pretty much covered up by hitbursts.
01:11:662 (1) - The emphasis is more on the on-beat rather than the offbeat, so these triples play really awkwardly. It'd play more naturally like this.

Also the same suggestion about making the curve offset with each triple so that it reads easier and stays consistent with the previous patterns.
01:14:080 (1) - Same thing here, blah blah. Applies to other iterations
01:38:264 (1,1,1,1) - Please don't new combo spam
01:56:704 (2,3,4) - Kinda weird spacing considering the even spacing right before it

This is pretty nice. Mainly needs fixing on the wrong-snapped rhythms and that covered slider. The rest is more a strong recommendation, but they'd make the map play more naturally and read a little bit better without compromising your patterns.

And since I can actually play muzu mostly, I'll give a quick poke at the muzu as well:

If I hear it right, that notes are played by the piano and yea, it was intentionally.

About the Chrome difficulty, which is the highest difficulty I can give an accurate opinion on, I think what you did doesn't quite work. First off I'm bothered by it's difficulty - it's the 3rd hardest diff and it still has a 16-note stream at 198bpm which is pretty ruthless. Second a lot of your patterns are confusing, awkward or just plain not fun to play.


00:23:295 (1,2) - This, for example, is pretty awkward. It's like you couldn't decide between a normal stream and a kickstream. I'd say remove one repeat, and move away that circle. Should give much more cursor movement and a better feel. I am trying to introduce a new kind of structure here. You're supposed to read the approach circle to be able to read this one.


00:30:550 (1) - Ecch. You're better off with a 1/2 slider, I think. Once again, unneccesary 1/4 spam. I don't see such reason why you see this thing unnecessary. It's going well with the music and it plays normally for an Insane -.


00:35:689 (2) - See, you did it here. Do that more. I'll only do it here.


00:44:455 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I think using 1/2 sliders here would work much better than circles in a line. Once again, better feel for the song - it's a soft part that's meant to be kinda swingy. I think it would be a bit boring to use 1/2 sliders all the way so I did this. I also did this to make players focus on their accuracy.


00:51:710 (1,2,3,4) - See, like that. I used this one so that the 1/2 circles won't be boring.


00:53:524 (1,2) - Why. These are the only sliders that look like that in the entire diff. It's very out of place, imo.
I don't see this as a problem though. You can't just use curve sliders in an entire diff right?


01:01:233 (2,3) - See, look at the cursor movement here - that's very bad. Rotate the (3) around the (2) so that it ends up more at the top.

01:11:662 (1,2,3,4) - There we go. This is where everything falls apart. This is extremely confusing, unintuitive and annoying to play. Since this goes on for the whole section I'm not gonna go in detail into it - just rethink this through because this is very bad.
This part flows very well in my opinion. Saying that this part is bad is considered an opinion so I will just try to respect your opinion and that's about it.

01:58:820 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16) - Why. This part has the piano going on a very interesting melody, and you just go ahead and stack everything. Also, this is hard. 16 circles at 198bpm.
I stacked this because I believe making an unstacked stream would just make a bad spread with silver. And this is not hard for an insane minus since you don't have to move your cursor. You just have to stream.

The whole difficulty is either a bunch of circles together or a bunch of sliders together. Please mix them together more, because as it is now it is very dull and unnerving to play. This is an opinion. Thank you for that.

As for the Taiko difficulties, I've looked at them very quickly - once again on the Oni we have a bunch of deathstreams. Disappointing. Oni at 198 BPM. What do you expect. -.-

This atmosphere wouldn't have existed if v2b hadn't mapped this song for his version in the past. you are very right about this.

By the way, I hope I can help a bit, these come from my opinion only from what I got while playing through the Gold and Chrome diff.
(you know that I can play these in real play, not only watch to the editor)

01:04:633 (2,3,4,5) - this is my personal preference, I feel what Charles feels the same (maybe because I am really familiar with v2b version)
the reason in my opinion is
01:03:802 (5,6) - these 2 sliders' heads are following something like 01:04:558 , 01:04:860 - and so on<-(focus on these points)
They have heavier sound and beat in the music, and what people get recognized from 01:03:802 (5,6) - will conflict with these 01:04:633 (2,3,4,5) -
by the way, the way you map follows the music greatly too , just different rhythm , if I were you , I would replace these points 01:04:633 (2,3,4,5) - with 1/4 sliders instead to at least "introduce and guide" how the next rhythm will be, so this will be more expected :)

it's not really hard to learn in my opinion. It's actually pretty obvious that 01:04:633 (2,3,4,5) are 1/4 mainly because of the spacing. And maybe you're right about players getting used to v2b's version thingy.

these look awesome in my opinion , but when I play, I feel they are a bit hard to read because of how it stacks and my ability of playing.
however, I tried adding NC on these points and they became really easier and fun to read while playing (because of different combo's color indicates more clearly for these points)
but again, all about NC here will ruin the way you NC in the rest of the map.

00:44:455 (1) - More with the weird and unfitting .5x stuff. All of that super-slow movement kills any sort of flow you had for 00:53:222 (6,7) - since it's the same part of the same phrase you had mapped prior, but suddenly you have giant spacing for seemingly no reason at all.
have you tried playing it? try playing it instead. You'll notice a good flow of cursor movement without having the bother of giant spacing.

00:57:152 (1,2) - Shouldn't this be 1/3? Slow the song down and listen to it. 1/4 sounds wrong. The end of 2 is snapped right though. There's a bunch in here. You know what to do.
I prefer 1/4. I know it is 1/3. And I believe there is nothing wrong with that.

00:59:268 (2) - This slider is pretty much covered up by hitbursts. but it is much very predictable that the slider head is there. And it's just partly covered so i guess there is nothing wrong with that.


01:11:662 (1) - The emphasis is more on the on-beat rather than the offbeat, so these triples play really awkwardly. It'd play more naturally like this. I'm trying to do v2b style here. D:

Also the same suggestion about making the curve offset with each triple so that it reads easier and stays consistent with the previous patterns.
01:14:080 (1) - Same thing here, blah blah. Applies to other iterations

Fixed. I did (1,2,1,2) instead. i hope you would let me add a new combo here. This is because I want to help the player's hp go up a little bit before they enter the final part of the diff.

01:56:704 (2,3,4) - Kinda weird spacing considering the even spacing right before it but it is very predictable that it is 1/4.

Ranking BAT, please have an extra look at the taikos. The oni and muzu play well, but the iinner oni has some oddities that I can't put my finger on.
