At the time the match is supposed to start, Sync isn't here and so Kyonko and I are trying to avoid having to reschedule for a second time. pielak gets his streaming stuff ready and then Sync arrives. Everyone cheers and then berates Sync for being a horrible person.

After Sync arrives, Kyonko starts using her magic mind powers of completely reversing any sensible tournament strategies. I practiced Recommended Spell a lot beforehand because val0108 is cool and I tend to do well with that sort of thing. Then I miss a lot, thanks to the magical powers of caffeinated tea. If you are planning to use caffeinated tea as part of your game strategy, don't. It seems like a good idea until you realize it's not. Well, I win anyway and we move on to the next issue.

Kyonko wants to pick Blue Night but can't because, as we've established, Sync is a horrible person and forgot to remove it from the map list. So we end up playing a map that Sync picks and Kyonko has never played before (because apparently that makes her do better) so then we play that and I FC it even though I wasn't really expecting to.

So then I pick Six Trillion Years and Overnight Story, because I've played it innumerable times and Kyonko hasn't at all, but of course I mess up because that is the only logical outcome. So that's kind of silly. (Note: Yes, this was really quite unexpected and after the match I spent a good amount of time analyzing this because it was kind of depressing. Then I realized that I'm human, just like many of us.)

Afterwards it's Kyonko's turn to pick but she doesn't because I don't even know, and then we play a map and I win. That's kind of it. We also played the tiebreaker map afterwards just for fun and I won that too.
