I can Reasonably play AR9 but I feel easier if the AR is lower.
Although I think AR 8~9maps are most exciting and fun..
lower AR is better for me if someone asks about the difficulty. However i dont play easy because it increases circle size and score

But still, no one will really care, go be a pro on easy mode, it's worth nothing. If easy mode had a high multiplier it could be of some use to be able to play it, but because of how it is... no, it's a waste of time (unless you want a challenge/fun).Blue Dragon wrote:

Actually no, it's not hard to play high AR on low BPM maps, it's the same. On the other side, high BPM maps on low AR are still playable, unless you get sick patterns. And AR evolved because players evolved, when I started playing Matryoshka WAS SOMETHING CONSIDERED HARD and you could get a top 20 score with some dumb FC, now you got hundreds if not thousands of players that can FC that without any real effort.Tanzklaue wrote:

AR is a thing that evolved through the years. when I joined osu!, AR 10 was the big thing everybody was afraid of, and not that many people could play it that well. like that, AR was getting higher every year. now AR 9 is standard, while back in 2008/09, AR 7 or AR8 was more common.
And this formula from aqo still is silly, in my opinion.

me too, pretty much... gold dust isn't that bad to get good acc but I still combobreak pretty often xD
Patterns become too hard on easy mode, DJPop maps + Easy are indeed, easy.
Easy on Shotgun Symphony is overpowered since that map is pretty much cluster-fuck, and that issue is completely fixed with Easy mode, since circles become way bigger and you don't really have to understand the pattern and you can play it like it was a normal stream.

the thing is, without easy, these patterns are really hard, because you can't move your cursor in a straight line to hit them, but instead you have to move to every circle. in addition to that, the patterns are hard to read, making it nearly impossible to hit all of them in the correct order in one run.Liutprando wrote:

for what it's worth, I can read gold dust with easy mod (MUCH more readable than Shotgun Symphony) but I'm not good enough at osu! to FC it... make of that what you will!
gold dust is very easy to read. AR does not play a big role there. AR is very important in poorly made maps.MillhioreF wrote:

Want some? Here's the recipe~ =3
Ingredients:
- "Blind Stare - Shotgun Symphony+ [Impossibly Intense]" beatmap
- Easy mod
- Hidden mod (the nerd spice)
- (Optional) Some extra mods will do to suit your taste
Just mix them all and stir them well. It has a high failure chance though. If successful, it should look like this:

(At the time I SS'd Usatei, I noticed that there's another 3 players who did it earlier than me.

What I also want to know, when aiming, do you look at the screen as whole and basically aim mostly with peripheral vision? Or is the trick in focusing on individual circles one at the time?
