In my opinion, I like the band Galileo Galilei.

They made the OP for the anime "Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day" and ever since I heard their song "Aoi Shiori", I've been hooked onto their music ever since. I believe that says alot about how much I love them since I'm not really into Japanese Indie rock.

I find that sometimes other artists slip under the radar though some of their songs may be quite well known.

Yorushika's tracks are nice to listen to. They're a Japanese rock band behind some masterpieces like "That's why I gave up on music" and "say it". I felt like this was an appropriate place to give some of my recommendations. Give them a listen and I hope you enjoy their music.

Haru Nemuri and Yoh Kamiyama/ewe/uki-san, Haru Nemuri is pretty visceral and noisy which kinda gives off a raw feeling which is nice since most female Japanese Artists sound the same and pierce your ears with a pitch bigger than the titanic before getting hit by the iceberg and sound as artificial as a badly tuned vocaloid, basically a really good Kero Kero Bonito and Death Grips collab

Yoh Kamiyama is surprisingly versatile and can write choruses for ages, Yellow's chorus is so damn catchy, he feels kind of a cut above the rest
