Is starting streams and triples with non dominant finger a bad habit?

Ever since I started osu, I always started triples and streams with my non dominant finger (index). I have recently found out that this may not be the best thing to do, so I've been trying really hard to switch the finger I start with but I just can't do it. If I alternate I can start with both fingers, and when I single tap with my non dominant finger, I get screwed up and sometimes start with my dominant finger. Should I keep trying to fix my habit? If so, how should I go by it?

It's not really a problem until you play higher AR. It's best to start them with which finger you use to singletap, be it dominant or non-dominant.

If you're trying to singletap everything, then it's good practice for finger control, but it might become an issue later. However, if you're trying to become an alternator, then it's a good start. Depends on whether you want to stick with singletapping or switch to alternating.
