[Archived] Osu crashed error

Problem details:my osu keeps crashing its says "System.Exception: Executable filename is not correct!"

hello, try renaming the exe file of osu! in your osu! folder. rename the exe file to "osu!" without commas ofc and then try.

isnt it the same? but i still did it and nothing changed
i noticed that the problem starts when i opened the osu i just opened it 5 minnutes before opening the osu folder and when i opened the osu folder the problem started.
Ive had this problem twice now and ive been deleting and reinstalling osu but the problem keeps coming back at a certain pointof time or when i open the osu folder

When this problem occurs, can you try doing this to see if it fixes anything?

  1. Close osu!
  2. Download the latest installer from: https://osu.ppy.sh/home/download
  3. In your file explorer, click on the view tab at the top and enable the "file name extensions" checkbox if it isn't already
  4. Rename the "osu!install.exe" to "osu!.exe"
  5. Move this file into your osu! folder, replacing the old osu!.exe
  6. Run the file
