Mechanical vs Chiclet Style Keyboard

Hello, I've been playing OSU Mania! for a couple of months and have realized the pain of ghosting. Due to ghosting, I can't really play any maps higher than 4-keys and was wondering if it is because of my keyboard. I've heard that using a mechanical keyboard is better for OSU, but I was wondering if getting one is necessary for higher star maps. I currently have a chiclet style keyboard on a Lenovo Gaming Laptop and was wondering if I should get a mechanical keyboard or stick with my original.

I also once experienced ghosting, but change the keybind solve the problem. Have you ever tried change your keybind?

Keyboard really comes down to personal preference. I played for years on laptop keyboards. I built a gaming PC recently and switched to a mechnical keyboard and it really didn't make a lot of difference. there were some small differences (my acc was slightly worse, but I could hit jacks a bit better) but it really didn't magically make me better, so don't buy a mechanical keyboard expecting it to make you any better at the game.

I've had issues with certain key layouts on laptops before. On one of my laptops, I had to switch from sdf jkl to sdf kl; because pressing jkl at the same time blocked keys and caused problems. Many keyboards have issues like that where certain combinations don't work. I suspect even some mechanical keyboards will have this issue unless they specifically advertise that they have 6kro or nkro.
