Seeing as how I have no drum set at the moment I felt I could start doing Cajon covers.

how versed are you with Cajon drums? I've been kind of wanting to get one for a while, but all the ones I've tried kind of felt "meh". The sound and the feel were just not that good imo. Found a very comfy, well crafted one but it was like $400 and still didn't really have a sound I liked.JAKACHAN wrote:

I haven't really run through too many Cajons so far but I must say that if you look at the right company you can get a very nice one for around $100.awp wrote:

As for the hi-hat, due to the more quiet nature of a cajon you can actually just slap a hi-hat with your bare hand and have the volume sound just about right with the volume you get out of your cajon.
