When looking up beatmaps, some special characters cannot be read. If one were to look up Steins;Gate, the search is able to actually read it properly. However some special characters don't seem to be handled correctly. For example, F.I. will bring up no beatmaps, despite several beatmaps existing that should be called up by this search string.

The periods don't turn into %2E in the search url like semicolons convert into %3B, not sure if that's the problem considering manually entering %2E in place of the periods still yields no results. No idea if that has anything to do with the issue, but just pointing it out.

This is not a problem with the characters, but the length of each "word". Words are separated at periods, which makes their length 1. The minimum search length is 3 for performance reasons. I've already answered this recently, and it can be fixed, but the effort involved is a lot considering the few cases where search fails.
